A new NBC/Wall Street Journal poll released Sunday shows Carson with 20% support among Republican primary voters nationally, just 1 point below Trump.
Former Hewlett-Packard CEO Carly Fiorina and Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Florida) tied for third in the poll, both grabbing 11%, while former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush's (R) support sunk to 7%.

Libs are terrified of “President Trump” ... So libs concoct a poll that tries to establish the narrative that Trump is no-longer leading... Sure, seems legit... I’m sure libs would *never* skew results to support their message.
The big reason Carson is doing well is that he’s acting like Trump in not backing down. When he goes squish, his numbers will drop.
Trump’s strategy was to first eliminate Bush. I would say that has almost nearly been accomplished already.
I think the establishment GOP is even more afraid of Trump. They see him as an agent of change and they don't want anything to upset the do-nothing sweet deal they have now.
Carson cannot win the general election. At the end of that process the last 20% of the voters begin paying attention. That group more than the rest votes for superficial reasons. Obama capitalized on this like no other politician. Trump moves the needle, so he would likewise take a hefty chunk of the low information vote.
RCP Average 9/17 - 9/24
Trump 23.4
Carson 17.0
Fiorina 11.6
Rubio 9.6
Bush 9.2
Cruz 6.2
In my math, Trump looks like a front runner.
still has 3 TIMES the support of Bush who the media loves to pretend is the front runner.
He jumped after the second debate and I still dont know why. He was amiable enough, but how does that transfer into votes.
This no muslim for president thing is a winner for him.
But he got the courage/advice to say it because of Trump’s bluntness.
Fixed
Lot of truth in that, for sure. The Global Elite goal is to create a mega rich ruling class, destroy the middle class, and create a vast army of low paid workers serving the mega rich.
This is funny. He’s still at the top and hasn’t lost a point in the polls. The difference is the reshuffle among the competitors. Trump and Carson still share the tope spot with Carson gaining most at this point from the loss of other candidates. The media desperately want to deflate Trump as does the GOP-E and they even tried to rig a couple polls the CNN/ORG one was really bad and the Gravity one in NH by GOP-E hacks really was shameless in trying to elevate Fiorina but the real story is how it hasn’t worked. They failed to destroy both Trump and Carson and what has been demonstrated by both of these candidates is a resilience that won’t be easy to erode.
The only thing at this point that could truly mix things up is if Jeb Bush dropped out which is probably the best hope of the GOP-E of competing with Trump and Carson is to thin their own herd. I of course think they are doomed. People are not gravitating from one shiny object to another. They are choosing Trump and Carson and even more so emphatically NOT choosing the establishment.
If Jeb Bush had Trump’s numbers or Carson’s they’d be crowning him Nominee apparent.
I suspect that many of the Trump Derangement Syndrome victims believe their continued assault on The Donald shall somehow bring down his numbers.
They misunderestimate The Donald. Like the mythical giant Antaeus of Greek legend, wrestling and attempting to pin him down only causes The Donald to jump back up, stronger than ever.
In a way, this is entirely unfair to the detractors, as they do not have an inkling of what they are facing with The Donald. Like a gnat attempting to breach a hurricane.
Once again the media doesn’t even mention Ted Cruz.
He’s almost tied with Carson.
Without the outsiders, Cruz would be on top.
Why did they only poll 476 people with only 230 of them being republicans?
What’s the point of such a small sample with such a high margin of error?
Monsieur Rove promised the attacks on the Donald would be unleased after Labor Day. And here we are Day 20 after and the Donald has been deposed, removed, obliterated. It took only 20 days!
Hey! Will Rove pay me for writing this sh*t? Where’s my $$$?
Amen. The more Trump talks about breaking up our insane trade policies, the more corporate media will attack him.
