For weeks I have been wondering why no media reporter, GOP candidate, debate moderator, network political analyst or individual citizen has asked Mr. Trump a very simple and basic question.
Mr. Trump, if you are elected president, who will manage your businesses?
I do not think this is a trivial question. The job of president demands 100% mental dedication and cannot tolerate conflicts with personal business interests. Owning an on-going business is not the same as putting a stock portfolio in a blind trust. To be sure Mr. Trump does have many managers to run day-to-day operations. But, I see even now that his campaign priorities are being compromised.
He speaks about important issues in a broad manner, but his failure to provide detail and offer specific solutions reveals a paucity of deep knowledge about these issues. I believe that he has just not had the time to study the issues in depth. His business obligations take precedent.
He often says, We are looking into this We will study the problem. We will fix this so fast that it will make your head spin. Who is we? My head is already spinning.
When the current president (with no experience) was elected, the American people were promised, Dont worry, he will receive good advice from his appointments. After how many czar appointments, we ended up with nothingnot even the czars anymore. They have disappeared!
Consider the following headline taken from The Wrap 18 Sep 2016:
Donald Trump Cancels Major GOP Speech Amid Obama Muslim Backlash
Now, look at the text under the headline:
But according to a statement sent by his campaign, the GOP frontrunner is ditching his appearance at the Heritage Action Presidential Forum because of a significant business transaction. - See more at: http://www.thewrap.com/donald-trump-cancels-major-gop-speech-amid-obama-muslim-backlash/#.dpuf
So, are we to understand that when the going gets tough for Mr. Trump, business obligations will take priority?
If Mr. Trump is elected president, and the economy turns sour, will he be lying in bed at night wondering about the intrusion of Russia into Syria, or about the health of the real estate market in New York? And, if two urgent phone calls ring in the oval office, one from the secretary general of NATO, and the other from his top business manager about a delicate negotiation that has been hanging for weeks, which one will he pickup first? Of course we know what he will say, but what can we believe?
You are right that Washington needs a revolution!
If not Trump some one needs to stand up, man-up or whatever it is called today.
Were you a marine, my brother was in Viet Nam but didn’t come back to us. So if you handle is true: I salute you sir for your service to our country!
People forget what we have lost to keep our freedom!
The three adult children of internationally renowned developer Donald Trump Donald Jr., Ivanka and Eric have forged a formidable team leading development and acquisitions for The Trump Organization. Donald Jr., was the first to join his fathers company in 2001, followed by Ivanka in 2005 and Eric in 2006. All three are Executive Vice Presidents of Development & Acquisition for the organization, bringing Mr. Trumps legendary drive and inspiration as its next generation, and working together diligently with Mr. Trump to manage, develop, and grow this global brand.
His personal assets.
Which if he is as shrewed, as I think/know he is, will not be but a fraction of his net worth.
I like the guy......Go Trumpster
Personal qualities: honesty, integrity, judgment, experience, knowledge, perception, consensus builder, etc.
Mr. Trump gives me serious pause on some of these quaitites-his business success notwithstanding. In the CNN debate, why did he go to great length to talk about how well he could get along with Putin and get along with everyone? But then he makes the most vicious personal attacks on fellow republicans. Reminds me of Obama. Obama makes the most appalling conciliatory nods to our enemies and attacks republican congress as though it was a mission from HELL.
But this will not be enough if Trump doesn't tighten his game up....I think he'll drop out for one reason or another if he can't get is footing squarely on his mark.....only because the arenas are not just rallying fans now...the debates have begun and tightening and we see Trump struggling in those as this last gathering evidenced in Iowa.
I just don't think the public is going to tow the line with the establishment as before....they're not in the mood any more.
“For weeks I have been wondering...”
That is about as far as one should read.
The world is going up in flames and Obama is collapsing the United States, and that is what you worry about for WEEKS!
How about all the time he spends rubbing elbows with the Hollywood pukes, rappers, etc.?
George Washington when President didn’t have to turn Mt. Vernon over to Martha. Jefferson didn’t have to put Monticello in trust.
Yes...however nobody has been as shocked as Trump is with his new found success, easily observed and heard as he was gaining followers. “Power” is an amazing aphrodisiac and Trumps certainly prone to that and the challeges with it that power brings...for a man at retirement age this would naturally be an attraction to go out with a bang!
I do see him struggling now....he really just wasn't prepared for the possibility that he could actually win the nominee let alone the Presidency....and it's showing the longer he remains running. It's interesting watching his change along the way....like a winning rookie suddenly finding his feet on the big league field. and though he knows he's good he's up against the pros...and it shows.
Trump already has over 100 different business operations world wide. And he is handling them all.
While Obama has only 2...golfing more rounds than pro-golfers and be present in White House when not golfing.
There is absolutely no one who can shake up the Washington cabal, except Trump. He alone has the money, experience in dealing with professional politicians, personality and looks of general MacArthur, absence of scandals, education (prestigious Wharton graduate), author of all time best selling business related book, and best of all the patriotism needed to make America great again.
He has 2 sons and a daughter all in their 3O’s and all with Wharton MBA’s and all now working in the family business plus daughter also started her own business .... They have been groomed to take over for a decade or more
So this all seems like really silly objection
