eled by derision for politics as usual, Donald Trump has vaulted to the top of the Republican race for president among California voters, a new USC Dornsife/Los Angeles Times poll has found.
Trump won the support of 24% of California Republicans surveyed, while Ben Carson, a retired neurosurgeon and lesser-known conservative favorite, was backed by 18%. More than a dozen other candidates, most of them elected politicians, resided in the single digits, far behind the leaders.

When I read the comments at the LA Slimes, I get so disgusted with politics. There is no one on there whom I can agree with or who even gets what is going on today. It’s all white privilege and blowhard etc. Low info people who think they are intelligentsia are killing us. I just can’t.
Same with Ohio...Kasich might be slightly ahead.
I was 20 year old foreign student just arrived in Univ of Iowa and my dorm’s media room in basement was packed with resident students for the JFK-Nixon debate. Out of curiosity, I joined in to see what was going on. JFK immediately made a good impression on me. He had charisma coming out of his ears!
I don’t believe this polling about Carson at all.
They are setting up Trump for some kind of political assassination at this next debate and Carson will be pushed as the front runner.
Also, the speech JFK gave on why business taxes should be reduced, is a master-piece. Economy picked up and I found some good jobs in Chicago. Eventually turned republican in 1972. Nixon had a secret plan to end Vietnam war and I was for it. Vietnam was easily the stupidest war of 20th century.
It could be. After they have removed Trump they will dispose off Carson like a used Kleenex.
Trump is closer to Dana Rohrabacher than most GOP candidates.
Rohrabacher opposes illegals and better relations with Putin.
“California Republican Rep. Dana Rohrabacher has emerged as the most consistent critic of U.S. policy toward Russia. The chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Subcommittee on Europe, Eurasia, and Emerging Threats believes that the U.S. has mismanaged its relationship with Moscow from the fall of communism until today, according to Politico.”
