It might be that negotiating with Obama about trade hurt him that much.
Likely, since Crispy isn't running.
Cruz is at 6.5%.
Sadly, all your points I concur with.
We have arrived at a time when we no longer believe in what we pay lip service to. We assuage the conscience but when push comes to shove - we will not do what is necessary to stand up.
As you pointed out - we can all claim Christ and/ or the Bible - but few to none will risk what the First Century did anymore.
So in concert with what you opined, if we as a people will not stand and do what is necessary for our faith - how can anyone think the very same people with stand and do what is necessary for their society and country?
The most disturbing thing about these charts is that Huckabee is in the top 4. Actually, its disturbing that he is in the top 15 given his record.
I disagree with that assessment. The Corruption of every institution over the last decade plus, makes analyzing the numbers to explain why the Ruling Class candidates ‘win’ a complete joke to me.
With all the fraud, deceit, demonization, malice, corruption and so on that now constitutes the entire system as an in-our-face reality - to continue operating under the delusion that our voice and vote counts - is willful ignorance at best.
An honest person can clearly see the powers that are working in this nation now given the last election and what the GOP has done to hand Obama his dictatorship on a platter while punishing their own for refusing to go along.
Cruz could get 90% of the actual Conservative vote - and Jeb will still be the nominee and everyone will buy the media/Ruling Class ‘analysis’ of how and why Jeb is the ‘only person who can beat Hillary’ which is why he “won the nomination”, and folks like us will offer ridiculous explanations such as failing to get behind a single candidate early for the loss.
Even if our “guy” does “win” look what happened since November.
We are past the point of elections doing anything to uphold what we were or restoring what we had.
We went Soviet. Everyone refuses to believe that, yet the evidence in our face is everyday.
Huckabee had a popular TV show on Fox. I bet the national cadre of voters know more about Huckabee from that TV show than reading about his governance in Arkansas. It helps that he is a smooth and glib talker. Likability is always a big factor. Not details of your past actions.
Why is John Ellis Bush the best to beat Hillary? Polls do not bear that out. On what grounds the GOPe can push that narrative?
According to RCP poll averages, Paul & Rubio are the closest to Hillary, not John Ellis Bush.
Hey, I totally agree with you. So...I guess there are two of us.
I said I made a mistake...but you are right.
Ah, Grania,
One of the original Ted trolls. Missed ya.
Keep spewing the same talking points...you obviously haven’t been paying attention.
Who do you support again? Trump?
BTW, I admitted I misread the numbers...he is holding steady.
I realize he played a conservative on TV. It’s still disturbing that there are so many gullible voters out there.
I'm no one's troll. Just your ordinary, "little folk" trying to make sense of and have some intellectual fun while figuring out who to vote for.
FWIW, I'm one of the original small contributors to the Cruz campaign. I believed. Now, not as impressed as I was.
I'm close to Trump's age. A lot of my generation is pretty embarrassed by our peers who went into politics, they're not our best or brightest or most honest. We are a generation that likes to speak out, change things, and make up our own minds. Set our own course. Not be told how to think.
Most of my peers think Trump vs Sanders debates would be a hoot. We've given up on the political class.
So that's where I'm at. No one's agenda owns me. Just fed up enough to wanna' have some fun with the political mess we're in.
Because THAT is what the media is pushing - INCLUDING Fox News. We heard his same thing with Romney, and with McCain before that. THAT was the major talking point the Republican party hacks used to shame everyone who did not support the ruling class establishment candidate in those past elections.
Polls mean nothing except to drive a narrative and make everyone want to be a sheep.
Let us pray. :-)
