Huckabee had a popular TV show on Fox. I bet the national cadre of voters know more about Huckabee from that TV show than reading about his governance in Arkansas. It helps that he is a smooth and glib talker. Likability is always a big factor. Not details of your past actions.
I realize he played a conservative on TV. It’s still disturbing that there are so many gullible voters out there.
