Charleston church tragedy sparks feud between Clinton, Trump camps

The fatal shootings this week at a historic black church in South Carolina has sparked a feud between the presidential campaigns of Republican Donald Trump and Democrat Hillary Clinton.

Clinton suggested Thursday that Trump’s comments about Mexicans, during his campaign announcement speech three days earlier, could incite racial hatred like that which led to white male Dylann Roof on Wednesday evening allegedly killing nine black people attending a bible study inside the Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church, in Charleston, S.C.

“The people who do this kind of dastardly, horrible act are a very small percentage,” Clinton said in Nevada on the “Ralston Live” radio show. “But unfortunately public discourse is sometimes hotter and more negative than it should be, which can, in my opinion, trigger people who is less than stable to do something like this.”

A recent entry into the Republican presidential campaign said some very inflammatory things about Mexicans. Everybody should stand up and say that’s not acceptable…

Trump responded on social media to Clinton’s apparent criticism of him.

“Wow it’s pretty pathetic that Hillary Clinton just blamed me for the horrendous attack that took place in South Carolina,” he said on Instagram. “This is why politicians are just no good. Our country is in trouble.”(continued)

Fake. Trump’s working for the Clintons and vice versa.

I don’t trust Trump, and I don’t support Trump. But I don’t think he’s work for the Clintons.

He could buy the Clintons and sell the Clintons before breakfast.

Donald Trump is about Donald Trump. You are talking about a rich guy who wants the spotlight, and doesn’t want to ever go out of the spotlight. He wants the attention, and he will do whatever it takes, no matter how rediculous, to keep getting some attention.

You’re right about that. I just don’t see Trump working for anyone. Except inadvertently. In the same way Ross Perot inadvertently twice elected slick for president. Trump is way too full of himself to be any kind of a team player.

A lot of strong opinions in the comments section of the article.

I dont know who this helps or hurts. I’m not savvy in that way.

Like I said in another post, when I drove a cab i had a lot of Mexicans in the car and they had a lot of reasons for coming here, hiding from drug gangs, making money then going him, some planned on staying.

NONE said because it’s a great country and I love being here.

There are LOTS of young children on the buses out here. A lot.

With Trump talk is cheap. He is really a democrat like “Jeb!” Hillary is a beach.

No Jeb!, no Rand, no Lindsay, no Christy, no Marco, no Kasich, good gawd NO TRUMP and the rest I am watching.

Cruz lost me with Obamatrade. Did he sell out to the Chamber of Corporations? Or some big rich donor? I will watch him, but he went from bad me to a candidate I will continue to watch.

Watching Scott, Carly and Ben. If It is Jeb! versus Hillary....I’m done and won’t participate any more except for Article V or possible Revolution per Jefferson’s guidance.

So anti-establishment, in fact, that he has tried--more than once---to get the government to use its powers of eminent domain to seize the personal property of private landowners for his own profit.

Don't go putting back money for the inauguration ball tickets just yet.

Trump is working to see Hillary! win the Presidency. He’s going to get a pay off, just like Perot did. Perot and his boy make a lot of money off of NAFTA.

What twisted logic in Hillary’s twisted brain. Comments about illegal Mexicans causes some drugged up liberal crazy guy to kill blacks?

The more shrill and know-it-all establishment pols get, the more people are going to support Trump. I'm not sure the establishment accepts that they just might have lost what little respect they had, and that's across the political spectrum.

The funny irony is that the more the establishment 'pubs say that Trump isn't a real Republican, the more he'll appeal across the political spectrum. People like watching the DC crowd run around in panicky circles!

Trump would make a great president. Does not owe his soul to anyone. He is independently wealthy. Go, Donald!

Trump is serving a purpose. He’s waking up the public and stirring up things to make people get involved. The folks concerned about Trump’s ego, who cares? We’re not married to the guy!

Aye, an ironic axiom.

The more those who are reviled criticize Trump, the more support he will have.

Likely a bunch of Democrats too.
