But why so easy to support a first term Senator? I know that some don’t think experience matters but I do think it does matter. Obama has been a train wreck due to his inexperience. If he were experienced, we’d be dead right now.
Your example of multiple conservatives in ‘debates’ is another reason why I am right, that we need a single conservative standard bearer.
Huge debates with as many as 5 to 12 candidates onstage are less than worthless. Each candidate gets virtually no time to articulate their positions. The discussion is controlled and manipulated by the liberal news reporter that ‘moderates’ the debate. And the dynamic among the conservatives is exactly the opposite of what you anticipate. Conservatives know that their near-term competitors are each other, so they attack the other conservatives, rather than debating the moderates. It’s a disaster and the MSM cheer it on with glee.
We need a single conservative candidate, either Walker or Cruz. Pick either one, but pick now or the eGOP and the MSM will choose Jeb Bush as our nominee while we debate which of 5 or 6 conservatives are more perfect.
Please read my previous posts...
What I would like to see is conservatives unite behind ONE candidate after first few primaries are over..let us say 5 or 6. Whichever candidate has the maximum delegates won should stay in and others drop out.
I think we are ok at least thru IA, NH & SC if all stay in.
May be even a couple more primaries. But after that only one candidate should stay in, between Cruz, Walker, Jindal, Perry, Rubio etc.
Unless he is leading in delegates after IA, NH & SC, Rand Paul needs to drop out. He will take more votes from Cruz or Walker than from Bush.

I have read your posts and I don’t necessarily disagree. In past elections, I would’ve agreed even more. For me, it would just depend on which candidate. The Republican establishment also wants us to unite behind their one candidate, so doing that doesn’t necessarily get us the results we want. It has to be a conservative candidate.
You can read my posts as well. Like the one below:
Election Eve conversions usually tell us a lot - both about a candidates ethics and what they really believe. Walker has flipped on amnesty at least 3 times now, back and forth. Worse than Romney or Kerry.
Ive left a state ruined by the illegal invasion. At great cost and loss of income. But it is worth it to be around Americans and hear English spoken. I will never vote for a pro-amnesty candidate, no matter how they spin it. When the entire country is ruined by illegals, there will be no place for us to go.

How about Republicans not making the mistake again of splitting the vote between conservatives like Cruz and Walker, and throwing the nomination to a Bush or Christie?
Hmmmm?
Naps, we've got less than two years to pull this off via the GOP. Now that Cruz has announced his candidacy for the primary, the ONLY thing that Walker would accomplish by joining the race is to weaken Cruz and strengthen moderate/leftist Republicans.
Walker is the single largest threat to Ted Cruz right now. It is what it is.
Lap, you're not going to get a chance to vote for either one in the general election of Cruz and Walker cancel each other out in the primaries, which they very probably will if Walker enters the race.
You can't have your cake and eat it too.
In a three way race, meaning Walker, Cruz and Jeb, Jeb will finish last. With the others in, it's hard to say.
Jeb is not even as good a candidate as Romney (a super pejorative, that), he can't win without a ton of candidates weakening the conservative vote.
I think we need to have Cruz and Walker voters make a pact. If one of them does seriously better than the other in the first few primaries, we should agree to hop on that bandwagon.
I know, I know......highly wishful thinking.......
Walker tries to play it safe and protect himself, for example dancing around ethanol to say he doesn't support it in such a way as not to offend folks who asked, while Cruz took a RISK, went out on a limb, and stated flat out "No" when asked the same question. Where does Walker stand on Obamacare? I don't know -- but I do know that Cruz has ONE AIM regarding Obamacare -- to repeal it entirely, and that is the ONLY thing I will vote for regarding Obamacare.
Why is anyone even wasting their time considering another option when an excellent one, Cruz, is right in front of us right now and has DECLARED??? Time is of the essence -- this waiting to "get behind one candidate" until after Walker has declared, will only split the vote and give it to a moderate like Bush, who will lose in the general. Conservative patriots who like Walker should be urging him throw his support NOW behind Cruz and waiting until 2020 or 2024 to run for president. IT's not rocket science, for crying out loud!!! TIME IS LIMITED!!!
Republicans will hang themselves with their own rope again, being indecisive until it's too late.
The time is NOW to unite behind the 2016 candidate. NOW.
You can’t have your cake and eat it too.
There are plenty of people who will vote for either Walker or Cruz in the general election. So, yes, we’ll have our cake.
What you say makes no sense.

You seem to be saying that Walker shouldn’t run.
Oh such BS. We need to pick the best candidate and that is Walker. Sorry but Cruz is a good guy but is no where near ready for President. He would make a better Supreme Court Justice or even a Senate Majority Leader. As President, he won’t get his agenda passed because he does not have that ability to persuade others to pass his agenda. That is a big problem that Reagan didn’t have.
Walker has been able to pass his agenda because he is persuasive and that is good for us and that is with a Democratic state with legislators being Democratic. It is quite a feet that only Reagan as emulated.
but I do know that Cruz has ONE AIM regarding Obamacare — to repeal it entirely,
Oh and what success he has had. Come on if he can’t in the Senate how will he as President. And no it has not been sent to the President for Veto.....The Senate has not passed it. So with a majority of Republicans, Cruz has not been able to persuade Republicans in his own party to pass it.
Yeah. This time, if Walker enters the race, there'll be TWO decent conservatives to support. Which of course will split the vote and throw the nomination to a moderate, who will lose in the general.
Walker and his supporters should be holding off any presidential aspirations until 2020 or 2024 and acting NOW to UNITE behind Cruz.
“Cruz has not been able to persuade Republicans in his own party to pass it.”
JMHO but Cruz as already alienated so many in his own party that he’s not going to get a real shot.
They will cut his knees out from under him before they even let him get close to the nomination.
Oh good. We might actually be able to get some things done in our country for a change. A President Walker will bring this country back from the brink. I am so excited about the possibilities.
A worse idea is to wait until Walker officially declares himself a candidate. This the EXACT point in time that we need the pissing contest! Conservatives need to coalesce behind a candidate NOW!!!
The pissing contest may be uncomfortable and unpleasant, but it is NECESSARY.
What I say makes complete sense. What makes ZERO sense is thinking that Walker’s entry into the primaries does anything but hurt Cruz.
