In a new poll of likely Republican primary voters nationwide by Zogby Analytics, 2012 GOP nominee Romney leads the pack with 14%, followed by former Florida Governor Jeb Bush (12%), Kentucky Senator Rand Paul (10%), New Jersey Governor Chris Christie (8%), former Arkansas Governor and now Fox News Host Mike Huckabee (7%), Florida Senator Marco Rubio (7%), Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker (5%), Rep. and former Vice Presidential nominee Paul Ryan (4%), Texas Governor Rick Perry (4%), Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal (3%), Texas Senator Ted Cruz (3%), South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley (2%), former Pennsylvania Senator Rick Santorum (1%), and both Ohio Senator Rob Portman and New Mexico Governor Susana Martinez tied at .3%.
Have you been asleep the last two weeks? The hard heads come to a point on the RINOs. Every gift given them by the US electorate, they have thrown back into the voters’ faces. ‘We know you hate Obama’s amnesty, executive rule, just elect us — ha, ha too bad, here’s the money and authority for everything else you want to do Mr. President.’ Signed the RINOs of the GOPe. ‘Oh by the way, thanks for getting your dems to give us the election money to stomp out the TEA party and our real enemy — WE the people.’
This poll is designed to convince people, not determine the truth. They know that both Romney and JEB are establishment but Romney is merely an elite while JEB is republican royalty. JEB may be somewhat more conservative than the “severe” conservative Romney, but JEB is helped appearing conservative by not being former gov. of the gay state, or the father of gay marriage and Obamacare.
They are both full blown CFR/NWO enemies of US sovereignty. Romney pulling out his etch a sketch as needed and JEB refusing to pretend to have love for this country and its laws.
JEB is more honest about who he is and he is more beloved by the establishment because they love to bow to royalty. But he is just as establishment and despises sovereignty just as much all the rest of the RINOs. He has already stated that the time of Reagan is over. He doesn’t want to fix what is wrong with this country. He doesn’t want to undo what Obama has done.
Then again maybe he’ll work to get elected the same way Romney did. Remember that? Romney did nothing to win. Didn’t even try. How did the republican establishment candidate not bothering to run work for the nation? Yeah, that’s what I thought. Another barely active candidate republican who refuses to go against anything the dems did. That’ll work out. HA!
Bush the choise of "conservatives"???? - That's why polls have no credibility these days.
Whose Higher Power? The Lord Almighty? Or Obama’s Moon God?
Why don’t we just cut out the middle man and vote Hillary today!
My recommendation:
Settle quickly on Ted Cruz.
Do everything we can to discourage all other conservative candidates
Get an early Sarah Palin endorsement for Cruz.
Get an early Limbaugh endorsement for Cruz
Encourage Christy, Mitt, Jeb and any other GOPe Libs to stay in the race to split the liberal vote.
Work to raise money and enthusiasm for Ted Cruz.
Amazing how Bush or Romney are neither of the real “conservative voters” picks.
Perfect formula! But are conservatives united enough or smart enough to see that? I liked both Newt & Ricky in 2012 individually, but hated that neither of them would get off their egotistical horse to unite behind one candidate.
And Jeb Bush as the GOP nominee.
Zoby is an Arab. He wants the Bush family in power again.
I would ignore whom the media calls “conservative”.
The critical point remains, which is, without uniting behind a single conservative candidate, you will end up with Jeb Bush as the nominee.
Yeah, it’s funny how the trolls for the GOPe even come out on here when one of their candidates are up for election.
I know most FReepers will vote for the GOP candidate, when it comes down to it, but I believe that’s increasingly less so.
I remember when McAmnesty was up against 0-Tard, everyone here was all for McCain, though they were more in it for Palin. When it was Romney’s turn, though they all pretty much hated him, they still fell in line, but probably in less numbers. I know I couldn’t have been less enthusiastic as I was when I voted for McCRomney in 2008/2012. I felt like I needed a shower each time.
Now, it looks like they’re gonna try to stick us with Jeb, or Romney again. If this happens, I WILL stay the hell home. I know many here will bitch at me for “electing the Democrat”...... Well, if one of those liberals get the nomination, it was the GOP itself that elected the Democrat.
To hell with them!
Some truth to that. But then the media is not Arab, and they like Jeb Bush the best at this point.
Post #118 has a good explanation of who are the conservative repubs.
Is’nt that amazing? Like I have said it hundred times before any one of Walker, Pence, Cruz and Jindal can beat Jeb one on one. But lone Jeb Bush with a slew of many conservatives in the race dividing votes, Jeb will win.
Nikki Haley would be a heck of a good candidate versus Hillary.
Haley has actually run a state with demonstrable success. Hillary is basically a back bencher in senate, responsible for Benghazi fumble and 1 million miles of jet travel as SOS.
“Whose Higher Power? The Lord Almighty? Or Obamas Moon God?”
$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
Amazing how everyone bitches about Jeb Bush here, but when given a choice to say whether they want him as President or just have elections as is, no one gives a serious answer.
Jim, it’s a Zogby poll. Nuff said.
That is quite a list, and a good one. Unfortunately it is unrealistic to expect even 10% will actually happen. It is what it is.
There are some freepers who would vote for Ted Kennedys corpse if he were on the ballot with an (R) in front of his name. Doesn’t matter what he said or how he voted only the (R) in front of his name.
