Most people cringe at the sight of a pregnant woman smoking. Some people feel strongly enough to say something in protest. But one local man took matters into his own hands early Friday when, according to police, he shot an expectant mother who refused to put out her cigarette.

Rather, I see it as an issue of violence between children.

The murderer accused the victim of providing cigarettes to his younger brother; and offered this as justification for beating Shane to death.

He obviously thought that he would have support for his action, since the universal demonization of smokers has been so successful.

Next thing you know, when she crosses the street, some guy approaching an intersection will press on the brakes and they won't work. The as he coasts the accelerator will actuate instead.
