Pregnant woman shot over cigarette (The Hate has GOT to STOP)

Most people cringe at the sight of a pregnant woman smoking. Some people feel strongly enough to say something in protest. But one local man took matters into his own hands early Friday when, according to police, he shot an expectant mother who refused to put out her cigarette.

This guy had problems before this it looks like. Kinda like the fellow in town around here that walks around just shooting birds (middle finger type) to people driving by. There is just some people that are way off (what was he doing with a gun anyway).

What about the 15 year old that shot little Shane??!!

I am almost surprised child care services didn't have "her" arrested for endangering a child.

I do agree with you about these anti-smoking Nazi's. Most are extremely intolerant and fascist in their thinking...............and they call themselves liberals.

Heh Heh. The only thing most are even close to being made to breath are the fumes from car exhausts and gas pumps, all of which probably contribute to cancer they say. But then again, everything seems to cause cancer. I don't know any smokers personally that have had cancer, but have known several who were not smokers (and health nuts to boot) and died of cancer.

Some would say, why increase the risk, to which I say If we want to decrease the risk ya better be looking at living with the Amish.

It may be disgusting for a pregnant woman to smoke, but this guy took matters a bit too far. Obviously, he was the neighborhood nutcase. He was probably a ticking bomb ready to blow up about anything, and she was in the wrong place at the wrong time.

I think the article said he was beaten to death, not shot. I feel very sorry for Shane and his parents, and I worry about my own sons. But, I don't see it as a smoker's issue. Rather, I see it as an issue of violence between children.

Shane was stomped to death by a 15 year old boy who THOUGHT that Shane had given cigarettes to his brother! Not Mustard Gas. Not a bomb. But "cigarettes!"

They have successfully demonized smokers to the point that this may be the result. I should think this would classify as a "hate crime" but don't hold your breath! (pun intended) The "pro choicers" have a dilemma here don't they?
