It may be disgusting for a pregnant woman to smoke, but this guy took matters a bit too far. Obviously, he was the neighborhood nutcase. He was probably a ticking bomb ready to blow up about anything, and she was in the wrong place at the wrong time.

I think the article said he was beaten to death, not shot. I feel very sorry for Shane and his parents, and I worry about my own sons. But, I don't see it as a smoker's issue. Rather, I see it as an issue of violence between children.
