Daniel 9:25-27 25 “Know and understand this: From the time the word goes out to restore and rebuild Jerusalem until the Anointed One, the ruler, comes, there will be seven ‘sevens,’ and sixty-two ‘sevens.’ It will be rebuilt with streets and a trench, but in times of trouble. 26 After the sixty-two ‘sevens,’ the Anointed One will be put to death and will have nothing. The people of the ruler who will come will destroy the city and the sanctuary. The end will come like a flood: War will continue until the end, and desolations have been decreed. 27 He will confirm a covenant with many for one ‘seven.’ In the middle of the ‘seven’ he will put an end to sacrifice and offering. And at the temple he will set up an abomination that causes desolation, until the end that is decreed is poured out on him.

Thanx for the post. I have been a believer of Revelations for quite a while. Even more now with ‘subtle’ signs of modern day catastrophes.

... the Anointed One will be put to death...

Yes, all of these things happened, almost 2,000 years ago.

The Anointed One rose from the Dead, also.

Most Jews don't believe this, but someday all of Israel will believe.

Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.

Now concerning that day and hour no one knows—neither the angels of heaven nor the Son—except the Father alone.

They’re a bit late. He came a little more than 2000 years ago. I’m not sure having a bunch of rabbis telling me the Messiah’s arrival is imminent is sound advice. OTOH, I think Christ’s second coming is approaching fast. While other people thought as much, including Paul, these are very good points.

He will come like a thief in the night.

I can point to things that fit that criteria from a thousand years ago and Jesus didn’t show up back then.

Matthew 24:36 - “But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.”

My gramps told me there was the same Rapture hysteria going on in the 1970’s like around 1975 or so with the One Way movement.

This is old history; after the Babylonian exile and the restoration of Jerusalem and the Temple, the Jews knew that the time of the Messiah was drawing near. (Hence, the question the scholars put to the Nazarean was not, "Who do you think you are?", but, "Are you the Messiah?")

The prophecy of Daniel took place 2,000 years ago; the Temple was destroyed in the sack of Jerusalem by Titus and the sacrifice ended.

There is no temple, no sacerdotal priesthood, and no more prophets; the Jewish people have been waiting around on a platform for a train that came and went 2,000 years ago.

They neglected the most important sign...All these signs are dependent upon one main sign, Israel being a place...With a Jewish government...

I don’t know about the return of the Messiah, but Porter Stanfield, a financial advisor known to a lot of people wrote a book “The American Jubilee” where he shows that all the prerequisites are present for a Jubilee in America.

What is a Jubilee. I always thought of that word as being synonomous with fun and good times. WRONG!

A Jubilee according to ancient Biblical scripture is a time when a restructuring of the financial system occurs—aboout every 50 year. Like forgiving all debts. Changing the value of money by removing the gold standard for example.

Don’t we see many of these ideas being promulgated right now because the Dems want to redistribute wealth. Right after this pandemic will come the big push and a lot of people are going to get behind it because of the chaos.

In a year holding a three, or seven,
or five, or nine, or maybe not,
Two things, might be people, or armies,
or buildings,
Or anything really, blades of grass,
or stoats, or crapulous charlatans
spouting mimsy,
Might do something nebulous.
Insert made-up-bit here.

5 No government in Jerusalem

Jerusalem, also a parallel allegory for America ("New Jerusalem"). As in, what Constitution?

Even the jokes about TP connect to the perpetual lamentations about those who always "treat the Constitution like toilet paper".

People immediately knew to hoard it, perceiving intuitively what is most important to store up and preserve in case of apocalypse. The Law. Even the one horseman had a clue:

The "end" times because woe, the jokes wipe themselves.

Bad times and ending for the conventional wisdom of the wise. Seriously!

His Arrival been “imminent” for a long time, but “imminent” appears to be measured in His Time and not human time.

I like how He gives Warnings to those destined for Judgment as a kind of last chance to escape “imminent” disaster and calamity.

And, I like how He sometimes will relent and soften His Anger if His Warning is heeded and the people repent.

Apparently, we all belong to Jesus and He doesn’t want to lose anyone.

He is good for giving us as many second chances as we need until our time is up and I believe He has never stopped sending us His Prophets to warn us.

In this, I find the Fatima warnings very interesting, especially when looking back at the history that followed Fatima and that has brought us to our now.

Garabandal is said to be the sequel to Fatima and all of the other signs, and says that we all will see and experience the Warning that Garabandal speaks of.

Ready or not ...
