More than 1500 years ago, rabbis discussed many signs that would precede the coming of the Messiah and the inauguration of the messianic era. Last week, Jewish activist and founder of the Israel Dog Unit Yekutiel Ben Yaakov (Mike Guzofsky) delivered a talk in which he connected many of these ancient signs to current events.
1 Young will shame the old 2 The passing of Biblical scholars 3 Costly sustenance 4 Sudden Poverty 5 No government in Jerusalem 6 The face of a dog 7 Waves of trouble 8 Haste 9 Forgetting the Bible 10 When God exacts revenge
Thanx for the post. I have been a believer of Revelations for quite a while. Even more now with ‘subtle’ signs of modern day catastrophes.
I saw Israel Dog Unit when they opened for Granular Scarves at the Fillmore West in 1971.
I’m pretty certain we’re in for more surprises and catastrophes soon enough.
The world is in the apex of the current system and the more disasters that happen, the more governments will fall (and be replaced).
Interesting times.
Yes, all of these things happened, almost 2,000 years ago.
The Anointed One rose from the Dead, also.
Most Jews don't believe this, but someday all of Israel will believe.
Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.
Now concerning that day and hour no one knows—neither the angels of heaven nor the Son—except the Father alone.
Matthew 24:35-36
They’re a bit late. He came a little more than 2000 years ago. I’m not sure having a bunch of rabbis telling me the Messiah’s arrival is imminent is sound advice. OTOH, I think Christ’s second coming is approaching fast. While other people thought as much, including Paul, these are very good points.
He will come like a thief in the night.
Jesus is coming
Everyone look busy
You werent the guy in a tie dye moo moo with the funny hat wearing the double sign boards were you ?
“Last week, Jewish activist...”
I’m reminded of the recent “Get Smart” image posted recently on FR. “Missed it by this much!”
But to be fair, Jews, muslims, Christians - will ALL see the Messiah’s arrival some day.
“Jesus is coming.....
and boy is He pissed!”
I can point to things that fit that criteria from a thousand years ago and Jesus didn’t show up back then.
Matthew 24:36 - “But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.”
On a related note, this bumper sticker: “Jesus Saves - and so should you! {Name of data storage backup solution company}”
I was reading some site and they made some sense (I think).
Jesus did all sorts of miracles or told parable on the various Jewish festivals. The only thing that He hadn’t asn’t included was the Feast of Trumpets.
IIRC it is in the fall. It is a harvest feast iirc. (Recall the numerous parabeles of grain, harvest, sowing, etc.)
The festival begins after some phase of the moon in the fall. And it begins at sunrise - which is determined by two witnesses showing up at the temple to confirm it. Cloud cover, etc. will make that time variable - and it needs to be confirmed by a second person.
So the exact time that the festival starts is not known by anybody. Excep GOD).
My gramps told me there was the same Rapture hysteria going on in the 1970’s like around 1975 or so with the One Way movement.
The prophecy of Daniel took place 2,000 years ago; the Temple was destroyed in the sack of Jerusalem by Titus and the sacrifice ended.
There is no temple, no sacerdotal priesthood, and no more prophets; the Jewish people have been waiting around on a platform for a train that came and went 2,000 years ago.
Jesus saves
And Espo scores on the rebound!
They neglected the most important sign...All these signs are dependent upon one main sign, Israel being a place...With a Jewish government...
LOL!
