This Christmas has been extraordinarily difficult for people that have lost...
valuable items, money, friends, homes, cars, loved ones, beloved pets...
If you have lost something recently please let us know. You don't have to say what it is if you don't want to but we will all be praying for your recovery and healing from your loss no matter how big or small.
The most important thing is that we do not lose hope especially as we contemplate the joy of Christmas and our Lord's promise of Salvation.
Eternal rest grant unto your beautiful sister (and all those that will be mentioned on this thread)
O Lord and may perpetual light shine upon her
may her soul and all the souls of the faithfully departed
through the Mercy of God
rest in peace.

Beautiful, thank you.
We don’t need to pray for God to send them to Hell, they will send themselves there. They won’t be able to look God in the face like Adam and Eve couldn’t. They will hide themselves from His Glory. Literally, His Glow-ry.
Praying for you,
may the holy spirit surround you and
fill you with the sublime joy of our
Lord and Savior Christ Jesus as
an adorable infant in a manger under
the stars in Bethlehem.

A family member (cousin) passed away this morning after a brief (3 month) battle with an aggressive cancer. She turned down chemo - it maybe would have given her a few more weeks, but the quality of her life would have been ruined as soon as she got the first treatment. Instead, she spent time with family, friends, was given a surprise birthday party a couple of weeks ago, got her affairs in order, made sure her beloved pets all had good homes, touched base with people she cared about (I had a 40 minute chat with her 2 weeks ago, for which I am grateful), and thanked God for every day of life he gave her. She’s celebrating Christmas in Heaven & while we’re missing her terribly, we’re joyful that she is now forever in the presence of God’s love. A Blessed Christmas to all .... and prayers for peace and comfort to anyone losing a loved one or someone important to them, especially this time of year.
Thank you.
I lost my husband of 60 years quite suddenly and unexpectedly on New Year’s Day Eve in 2017- almost 2 years ago. It was difficult last Christmas, but somehow it really is harder this year. I’m not alone as a daughter is living with me, but his absence is felt dearly. Thank you for your thoughts here on wonderful FR.
That’ll be fine, thank you.
You know I’m just kidding ... sort of.
They’re evil. They’re destroying this country. It’s just so frustrating.
Yes, let them, and everyone, be punished or rewarded according to their faith, belief and deeds.
You got it!
I have two daughters and a son.
My son seems to get the lions share.

Amen.
And I pray also for everyone on this thread.
Thank you for this tread.
Hugs and Blessed Christmas and New Year to you all.
I will of course, diligently look for a new job but, I will not panic and I will wait upon His action.
I am only months away from turning 60 and I am thankful for everything He has done for me throughout the years. I have been blessed abundantly, more than I deserve.
Amen
A long time friend (since we were fresh faced 16 year olds), Suzie, was diagnosed with breast cancer. Found early, had a lumpectomy this week. Waiting on pathology to determine what course of radiation will occur.
A prayer for the family of Mike, a sweet older gentleman with whom I talked about Sooner football at work. He was working in the yard. Said he wasn’t feeling great. Went to rest. His wife went to wake him and he has passed.
I was just sitting across from him at our quarterly meeting and Secret Santa gift exchange 2 days before. Gutted.
I’ve not been alive 60 years!
What a beautiful thing to read when so many in my generation think making the vows are like buying a pair of sneaker that can be returned within 60 days.
I am sorry for your loss and we’ve all known heartache, even if dating someone or a few years and splitting.
Being together 60 years?? I can’t imagine how close you 2 were.
Well I hope I didn’t make things worse. That wasn’t my intention.
In fact I would to tell people I know that I read about a couple that was together for 60 years!
AAt a time when love and commitment and marriage meant a whole lot more.
God bless you and your husband
I suffer from eternal optimism.
But a friend is really suffering and I hope that each breakthrough makes them closer to recovery and success.
Some people must struggle through real hell on earth just to achieve normalcy.
Thank you, Texas Eagle. He is with me which helps.
Almost never ask, but I could use prayers now. One of the worst scenarios
has happened to me and I’m trying to pull out of it..
So sorry for your loss. May our Lord send you peace and comfort.
What a beautiful tribute to a beautiful person!
Bitter sweet.
My (excellent) dad passed when I was 16
while our family was returning from vacation in Colorado
it took me years to realize that we had been so
blessed to spend our last two weeks together
camping in the mountains.

May the good Lord comfort you.
