You saw the Disney movie as a kid. You may have read the book. But did you know some of it was based on real history?
While the story of King Arthur, Merlin, and all the rest may not be true, there really is a centuries-old sword stuck in a stone.
In the small Italian town of Chiusdino, theres a small chapel near Saint Galgano Abbey known as Montesiepi chapel. And inside youll find a big slab of stone in the floor with the handle of a sword sticking out of it.

According to the Bible, who was the first martyr/saint?

Saint Stephen (martyr), but it’s not in the Bible.

He was the first saint canonized through formal process, and not by acclimation. Of course there have been saints before the 12th century, however, there wasn’t a formal process before that general time period.

I don’t think that is what Apparatchik meant. I think he meant that it was not said in the Bible that Stephen was the FIRST MARTYR.
