Posted for all those who would like to comment on the daily Osteen email, but not allowed to because of forum rules.
A link to nowhere. How quaint.
Fitting, eh?
And apropos!
I’ve got a fever and the only prescription is more Osteen!
I got sixteen gallons of snake oil from Osteen and now I’m a millionaire!
Ask me how!
money, cometh!
In His holy name, cometh O money!
gotta love the prosperity gospel. joel and victoria sure do.
and if you fail to prosper, it’s your fault, you didn’t believe hard enough or tithe enough.
Name it and claim it!
I shall walk into the bank and claim a fortune, let’s see how that works out.

“O lord, won’t you buy me a Mercedes Benz
My friends all have Porsches, I must make amends...”
Joel Osteens favorite rock song.

So what was the content?
Let me guess.
God has a wonderful plan for your life. You just have to claim it and walk it out.
Rah, rah, rah...... everybody feel good about themselves.
**and if you fail to prosper, its your fault, you didnt believe hard enough or tithe enough.**
After church yesterday my wife ran into Starbucks (off campus) to grab a quick cup of coffee. We just heard a sermon on God’s judgment. The week before we heard one on our sin. And the week before we heard about the fall. Each week the sermon concluded with the Good News that Jesus died for sinners. Next week we will hear a 30 minute sermon on the atoning life of Jesus.
While she was inside I flipped it over to the Osteen channel and he was spewing some nonsense about sending up vapors of praise, and if we do that we will get all sorts of blessing from God. We will be cured of physical ailments. We will make new business contacts. Over the next 20 minutes we heard all sorts of blather that does not at all resemble any teaching in the Bible. It all sounded like if I send up vapors of praise God owes me.
I feel sorry for people who actually believe this. When bad things happen, and they will, they will feel guilt for not sending up enough vapors.
We were both appalled.
Religion Admin,
Please delete this posting, as it is a link to nowhere!
But LO!
It refers to Osteen, who is himself a link to nowhere!
Let’s all feel good and pray for money!
Too late...
Just like Osteen’s teaching.
This guy and his wife are nothing but scam artists. And the FnF show keeps inviting him on their show to spew more of the scam!
