Protestants opposed contraception until the 1930 Lambeth Conference. After this, positions changed. So, did the Bible change, or did they?
“I think your characterization of Catholics vs Protestants is both inaccurate and unwarranted.”
It is both accurate and warranted.
While condoms may act as contraception devices, that is not their only use, perhaps not their main use. They are very helpful in inhibiting the transmission of STDs.
If you do not know this, you have not experienced the chaplain's basic class with photographs related to personal hygiene in recruit school/boot camp.
It's amazing that this issue has not so far been discussed in this thread.
“Why say something that you have to know is false?”
I never have.
“Not “ALL” other Christian denominations support “baby killing” through abortion OR other birth control methods that do that. That is flat out wrong.”
No. It is absolutely correct. There may be some tiny sect of a few hundred or even a few thousand members out there which does not, but I have not yet discovered such a group and there certainly isn’t one of any note.
“Maybe Baptists murder (not the same as triage killing) some babies bodies.”
Read your own comments. “murder...some babies’ bodies”? People get murdered, not bodies. You’re using seriously euphemistic language.
“But with your stupid, biblically unfaithful way of claiming to moderate peoples eternal lives by the decree of mere men, you Catholics are murdering Christians in attitude.”
I don’t murder anything, but I would much rather murder an “attitude” then a person (which you now seem to support).
If you had gone to posts 61 and 62 before you short off your mouth you would have seen chapter and verse. Surprise you went off halfcocked...again.
Don't let the facts change your opinion. Just let Jesus come into your heart He will improve your life a thousand fold.
Scientific truth is on our side.
A human life begins at conception, after the egg is fertilized.
Contraception means not conceiving, no fertilization of the oocyte. No diploid new human conceived.
You are pointing out “the pill”. Has abortifacient properties that occur after conception. That is not contraception.
Contraception does not kill babies.
You are saying “the pill” is not a contraceptive and I won’t argue against that.

"You are saying the pill is not a contraceptive and I wont argue against that."
If the majority of people who defend contraception are almost all defending oral contraceptives that are in reality a means to ensure an early term abortion. Those who defend only non-abortaficiant *mostly spermicidal) contraceptives have nothing to defend in that in such cases it is a matter of whether or not they are contracepting for good reason or for selfish reasons.Whether their reason(s) are valid or not is between them and Christ.
The thing I've run into is that most people don't know they're using "contraceptives" that murder rather than contracept and Churches that refuse to make that point to those they should be warning. When someone does make the point that NFP which boils down to a few days a month of abstinence avoids the murdering of infants as do several other means of contraception the majority of people who defend contraception go all stupid rather than reconsidering their options or even admitting there's any reason to reconsider their options.
I think people should know what they're really doing when they start using the majority of contraceptives and I also think it's awfully hypocritical of folks who claim to be Christian to totally ignore the fact that extremely early abortions are still abortions.
There are valid reasons for contraception, the Catholic Church teaches as much, and yet since the Catholic Church doesn't agree with any and all means of contraception along with any and all reasons not to have children a lot of people like to ignore the real issue which is whether someone is avoiding conception or simply aborting conceived infants while it's all tidy and nothing more than a "heavy flow" one month.
I don't pretend to have the right to judge whether or not someone is using contraceptives for valid reasons but I'm quite capable of telling whether or not someone is relying on very early abortion to avoid children as opposed to relying on actual contraception. If no fertilization takes place, the couple involved will answer for their motives and what they are is none of my business.
Once I found out how many people were unaware of what they were really doing when they rely on the most popular "contraceptives", though, I think it is my business to point out the facts to those who may not know them.

Then they didn’t know/understand the history of Baptists.
It’s a problem now that churches don’t educate members in the basics of denominations. (Not that a particular denomination is the only “right” one.) The fundamental tenets and history were taught in our local church in youth group.
I understand that some Baptists consider themselves Protestant to differentiate from Catholic, Jewish, Muslim, etc. In that respect, it’s true. Technically, though, it isn’t correct.
Even if one does not follow the crowd, you can’t say *ALL*.
That is not correct.
I am not being euphemistic, I am emphasizing what matters, and you don’t like that truth at all!
Baptists might kill bodies. God Himself says that does not kill souls.
You kill souls, at least as far as they can be killed within the context of a salvation. Did not Jesus say that simply calling a brother a fool is tantamount to murder, “liable to the fiery hell”?
Consider applying the observation to your own discourse, if it is true.
Yes, you do murder, every time you tell a Christian that his or her salvation is gone, with that bogus doctrine.
“Yes, you do murder, every time you tell a Christian that his or her salvation is gone, with that bogus doctrine.”
When and where in this thread did I do that?
“Even if one does not follow the crowd, you cant say *ALL*.”
I sure can say it. And I did.
Like I said, there might be some puny Protestant sect out there, but I don’t see anyone posting such info (yet).
“I am not being euphemistic, I am emphasizing what matters,”
Persons matter more than “attitude”.
“and you dont like that truth at all!”
I am the one posting the truth.
“Baptists might kill bodies. God Himself says that does not kill souls.”
So babies are only bodies? That sounds like something an abortionist would claim? Tell a woman who has lost a child that it wasn’t a person - it was only a body. See how that goes.
“You kill souls, at least as far as they can be killed within the context of a salvation.”
I don’t kill anything - except maybe your insanely bad “bodies” argument.
“Did not Jesus say that simply calling a brother a fool is tantamount to murder, liable to the fiery hell?”
Gee, it’s only his body, right? I’m really betting you went to public school.
