"You are saying “the pill” is not a contraceptive and I won’t argue against that."

If the majority of people who defend contraception are almost all defending oral contraceptives that are in reality a means to ensure an early term abortion. Those who defend only non-abortaficiant *mostly spermicidal) contraceptives have nothing to defend in that in such cases it is a matter of whether or not they are contracepting for good reason or for selfish reasons.Whether their reason(s) are valid or not is between them and Christ.

The thing I've run into is that most people don't know they're using "contraceptives" that murder rather than contracept and Churches that refuse to make that point to those they should be warning. When someone does make the point that NFP which boils down to a few days a month of abstinence avoids the murdering of infants as do several other means of contraception the majority of people who defend contraception go all stupid rather than reconsidering their options or even admitting there's any reason to reconsider their options.

I think people should know what they're really doing when they start using the majority of contraceptives and I also think it's awfully hypocritical of folks who claim to be Christian to totally ignore the fact that extremely early abortions are still abortions.

There are valid reasons for contraception, the Catholic Church teaches as much, and yet since the Catholic Church doesn't agree with any and all means of contraception along with any and all reasons not to have children a lot of people like to ignore the real issue which is whether someone is avoiding conception or simply aborting conceived infants while it's all tidy and nothing more than a "heavy flow" one month.

I don't pretend to have the right to judge whether or not someone is using contraceptives for valid reasons but I'm quite capable of telling whether or not someone is relying on very early abortion to avoid children as opposed to relying on actual contraception. If no fertilization takes place, the couple involved will answer for their motives and what they are is none of my business.

Once I found out how many people were unaware of what they were really doing when they rely on the most popular "contraceptives", though, I think it is my business to point out the facts to those who may not know them.

Regards

Good post and informative. You may laugh but I was informed about chemical contraception and its dangers from a Roman Catholic who had a vasectomy. Is that allowed? I don’t think it is.
