Cosmic Fingerprints: Evidence of Design

RTB Regional Conference February 10-11, 2006 Charleston, SC

Has a testable Creation Model solved the mystery of cosmic beginnings? Does the theory of evolution conflict with the most recent scientific data? World renowned astrophysicist Dr. Hugh Ross and Internationally respected biochemist Dr. Fazale "Fuz" Rana think so. These two scientists have developed a model for creation that is testable, falsifiable and predictive. For the first time in more than 80 years, this innovative approach catapults the evolution/creation debate from science vs. religion to science vs. science.

As currently formulated, popular theories of origins are not falsifiable and make no predictions about future scientific discoveries. Dr.'s Hugh Ross and Fazale Rana, among the world's leading experts in origin of universe and life research, and the RTB team of scholars have developed a theory of creation that embraces the latest scientific advances. It is fully testable, falsifiable, and successfully predicts the current discoveries in origin of universe and life research.

On February 10-11, Dr. Hugh Ross and the Reasons To Believe Scholar Team will present the RTB Scientific Creation Model. Skeptics will find answers to those questions that bar them from being interested in the message of Christianity, and believers will be encouraged by the mounting evidence that points to the God of the Bible. So, whether you are a skeptical inquirer, a seeker, a Christian, or a person of another faith, you'll learn about up-to-the-minute discoveries in the sciences and how they harmonize with God's revelation in the words of the Bible.

I wish Christians would grow up and actually pray and THINK (with the wonderful minds God gave us).

"World renowned astrophysicist Dr. Hugh Ross..."
Must be renowned in some alternative universe, then. I checked his net-posted CV - nothing earth-shaking.

So? He stopped publishing in 1970s, the only article in "Nature" is by his doctoral or postdoctoral boss with him tagged along [otherwise his career trajectory would be quite different], since then it is mostly "Angel Award for Excellence in Television Broadcasting" and a professorship in MA program in a third-rate university. if this is "world-renowned", then this "renown" is in an alternative world. Q.E.D.

So we should only listen to scientists who agree with Darwin? Your scientists right - all others wrong?

Well, it's nice to see someone at least is looking at cosmology when they think of design.

Anthropic cosmology is actually compelling, as opposed to
the arguments for a 'tinker god' who designs individual molecular machines.

(Incidentally, any ID folk reading this thread, kindly provide a scientifically meaningful definition of intelligence. If no one does, I'll be back with one soon--picked up from a FReeper who does AI work--and we'll see what it says in this context.)

Third rate university? Says who? Your big brain? I know a lot of small colleges and university's that have science programs on par with the big guys. How about Caltech that he resarched at? Is that third rate too?

Stopped publishing in the '70s? Really? Is that why one of the books says "2005" ? I have a newsflash for you, not all of science is explored in journals. Darwin, Newton, Galileo and a long list of others did their greatest works in popular books.

Dr Ross didn't "stop publishing" in the 1970's.
He wrote 11 books and co-wrote several more.
Just because you do not agree with his conclusions does not make him on non-published.

Here is one excerpt from one of his books you claim he did not "publish".

Nonscientific creationist tripe eh?

How about this simple standard for "world renown" - number of articles [peer-reviewed] 100+, including recent ones; high numbers in Citation Index; preferably [at least towards the middle of career or late in it] a position in a research university of standing or other comparable institution; this latter requirement is not obligatory, though - look at J. Philippe Rushton. He is at University of Western Ontario, but he easily fulfills the first two requirements hands down.

I'm pretty sure there aren't a lot of scientific publications accepting works opposed to TOE so the peer-reviewed articles are kind of a joke.

woo hoo!

Publicly this will be rejected and mocked by the GM. But in the cathedral there will be a great frothing and flailing at the high court of evo darwinism, gnashing of teeth pulling of hair.

I don't understand the argument between Creationists and evolutionists.

Evolution, by definition, is that which happens AFTER creation.
