It's difficult to believe that anyone as politically savvy and as "morally clear" as Limbaugh would be so stupid as to purchase pain pills in a parking lot. On the other hand, it's hard to believe that anyone as politically savvy as Rush Limbaugh would add the would "black" to a negative critique of a NFL quarterback, either.

"What we have here is a classic example of the dirty little secret that blacks can say anything they want to about black athletes but whites can't," Massie told This is a fact. True, so true. Blacks can call each other the "N" word all day long. I have heard them do it millions of times and yet let one white utter that word and the war is on. They are not just joking when they call each other the "N" word either. If that word were SO offensive to blacks, they should object to being called that word by anyone, black, white, green or yellow! But, it is only when whites, all racist whites (except Klinton and the Beast) say something that is not PC, the white is wrong. It is a two standard thing and white are punished for it. Liberals can do it and get away with it. Dusty Baker did, others have also.

Maybe he was drug-addled. Then he's a victim.

Oh yes....and black commentators can complain that there are too many WHITE EUROPEANS playing in the NBA & how wrogn that is because it "is a black mans game". No problem with that....no statement from Wesley Clark...

We need a "fair & balanced" sports network. 95% of sportswriters, sports anchors, etc., are flaming liberals.

Yes, I can't believe he is actually human.
Such a disappointment.

Yes sports fans, we are so sensitive that we see racism where it isn't, that race relations in this country have a few more centuries to go before we can be colorblind, if that's what the NAACP really wants.

I've noticed there are many new faces here at FR today, no doubt many are spies^h^h^h^h^h visitors from DU. It's that kind of day.
A tip for my fellow freepers. Place you mouse cursor over the name of the person who posted a message and you will see how long they have been a FR member. (For instance, place you mouse over my name and you will see "since 2001-10-16")
I use this quite a bit when I'm deciding if someone is looking for a real debate or just here to flame.

Here in Boston, Howie Carr is on WRKO right now (3-7pm EST) and he is ripping Rush a new one.

If there is any justice at all ESPN's ratings will be below last year's.

What else would anyone expect out of a liberal bastion like Boston. Are you shocked?

Certain black leaders are complaining that there are too many hispanics in baseball now. Leading to a lesser number of black payers....not that they're counting!!!

It is clear to me, at least, that Rush had one choice: resign or be fired. This will be used by libs to say that conservatives are really racists, whereas if ESPN had stuck by him, that wouldn't be a case, therefor I propose a boycott of ESPN, ABC, and Disney.

You know I'm getting tired of all this double standard crap. I wish someone who had more time than I would do a google search on all the ink that has been written on McNabb and see how many times he's referred to as a "black quarterback" versus a "quarterback" and which of the liberal pressies have made that distinction.
Liberal newspapers are always pointing out folks' race in articles - - except when they have to describe some criminal perp, and then that would be "profiling".
Any reason why I shouldn't hate the media???

We need a "fair & balanced" sports network. 95% of sportswriters, sports anchors, etc., are flaming liberals. One of the few conservatives was Chuck Booms, and he got kicked off Fox Sports Radio.

What Limbaugh said was dumb. Not because of what he meant by it or because he was wrong, but because he should have known how it would be twisted by the PC crowd.
But then, maybe Limbaugh didn't really care if he continued to be a sport commentator or not. If he didn't, then have at it, Rush!
