It's difficult to believe that anyone as politically savvy and as "morally clear" as Limbaugh would be so stupid as to purchase pain pills in a parking lot. On the other hand, it's hard to believe that anyone as politically savvy as Rush Limbaugh would add the would "black" to a negative critique of a NFL quarterback, either.

Maybe he was drug-addled. Then he's a victim.

Yes, I can't believe he is actually human.
Such a disappointment.

This one is simple. It's not as transparent as the LA TIMES article about Arnold, but it's just as calculated. The National Enquirer is owned by American Media, Inc. American Media, Inc. recently acquired Weider Publications. Joe Weider is a friend and supporter of Arnold which is why the rags that American Media owns have not done any negative stories about Arnold. This story breaks on Rush (a McClintock supporter) timed perfectly to take the spotlight off of the attack on Arnold that we all knew was coming.

I usually do not tell anecdotal stories, especially about myself, but I have been thinking about this little event in my life all day, as Rush's present predicament has been on my mind.
I served on our local school board, was and still am happily married, and the mother of 4 children. Two were in high school at the time of the false rumors spread all over the community about me.
A woman who needed attention told all sorts of people at community meetings that I was "seeing" the school superintendant, which just had to be the reason I wouldn't support their desire to have him fired.
Of course, it spread through the high school like wildfire, which is how I heard about it... from my weeping 9th grade daughter.
Fortunately, my husband pointed out to her that this was just losers trying to take down winners, and she could see that going in school every day...
Not much I could say to defend myself. I reported the rumor in public board session, and denied it, of course, as it was in no way true. But, the people who just couldn't accept that the man was under a contract and couldn't be let go without cause didn't want to believe that.
Our country in many ways resembles our school district. People will do anything they can to accomplish an end, especially if those standing on principle (or should I say principal) cannot be gotten at in any other way.

A friend of mine was addicted to alcohol.
The desperation of addiction makes a fool out of anyone: rich, poor, smart, dumb, talented, incapable, etc.
From what I've read, Rush tried a couple of the weekend detoxes my friend also tried to no avail.
Rush probably is going to have to take a break from his show and go into full-fledged rehab.
He's going to need our prayers, not our carping and criticism.

While I regret Rush's remarks, I doubt the liberals would have complained if his opinion were stated the same and directed at an Asian instead of a Black.
