Black conservative ping

If you want on (or off) of my black conservative ping list, please let me know via FREEPmail. (And no, you don't have to be black to be on the list!)

Extra warning: this is a high-volume ping list.

[As i mentioned, the B/C & JD! lists are going to float into and out of whack over the forseeable future, while I try to cobble a rig back together for myself. My apologies for any incovenience or misunderstandings in this time frame. New signups/removals may be flaky in this time-frame as well; please bear with me, and keep in mind you may have to FReepmail me more than once for me to get it done. Thanks again!]

"Cochlear implant surgery led to dependency on painkillers. That's it. "

I don't know. Perhaps it was Rush's pilonidal cyst acting up that caused him to take the drugs, which destroyed his hearing. Who knows? Who cares?

This one is simple. It's not as transparent as the LA TIMES article about Arnold, but it's just as calculated. The National Enquirer is owned by American Media, Inc. American Media, Inc. recently acquired Weider Publications. Joe Weider is a friend and supporter of Arnold which is why the rags that American Media owns have not done any negative stories about Arnold. This story breaks on Rush (a McClintock supporter) timed perfectly to take the spotlight off of the attack on Arnold that we all knew was coming.

I usually do not tell anecdotal stories, especially about myself, but I have been thinking about this little event in my life all day, as Rush's present predicament has been on my mind.

I served on our local school board, was and still am happily married, and the mother of 4 children. Two were in high school at the time of the false rumors spread all over the community about me.

A woman who needed attention told all sorts of people at community meetings that I was "seeing" the school superintendant, which just had to be the reason I wouldn't support their desire to have him fired.

Of course, it spread through the high school like wildfire, which is how I heard about it... from my weeping 9th grade daughter.

Fortunately, my husband pointed out to her that this was just losers trying to take down winners, and she could see that going in school every day...

Not much I could say to defend myself. I reported the rumor in public board session, and denied it, of course, as it was in no way true. But, the people who just couldn't accept that the man was under a contract and couldn't be let go without cause didn't want to believe that.

Our country in many ways resembles our school district. People will do anything they can to accomplish an end, especially if those standing on principle (or should I say principal) cannot be gotten at in any other way.

your connection of the Arnold article, which we all knew was coming, and the Rush problem-- is a big connect the dots game. Reminds me of the Kevin Bacon game.

So the whole media fire storm against Rush, was drummed up by Joe Weider, because Rush is a McClintock fan, so Arnold can squeek by and win the election ? Very bizarre..Maybe I'm missing something in your logic. If you are being sarcastic, then my apologies.

Go Arnold---- Go Rush ! Go George !

There's only two dots! I not a conspiracy buff but this one seems obvious. If you want to go further down the rabbit hole then consider that Rush is in on it. That would explain the ESPN flap. Also, consider that Arnold was johnny-on-the-spot with the perfect "reaction" to the accusations.

I don't watch ANY pro sports anymore. They have all been ruined by the gangsters who play the "games", and the social engineers who run them.

Why does McNabb care that Rush thinks that the press wants him to succeed a little more than others because he's a black quarterback? Is that offensive?

On matters of race and sex, liberals are self-appointed judges, juries, and executioners. Rush's firing was a certainty from the "get-go". They hired him to be controversial which Rush does, in the liberal galaxy, by merely telling the truth. Nothing Rush said could be construed as being racist. He might have been wrong about McNabb's abilities, but that is irrelevant to the situation. The fact is that the liberals, who still control public opinion even in the sports media, cannot allow anyone to disagree with their screwy pc rules.

It's a last ditch frantic desparado democrat leadership goon squad 3 prong assault on Bush, Arnold, Rush...which I will abbreviate B.A.R. Bash, Attack and Ruin.

Problem number one for democrats is we are fully aware and ready for the Clinton Politics of Personal Destruction Slime Machine and are prepared to defend, protect, and aggressively denounce their specious attacks.

We also know that the leftists defended democrat icon Kennedy's drug addictions and sexual enterprises and Clinton's cocaine use and his monumental womanizing as well as perjury.

So what's it to be lefties we are on your turf now get used to it and we are storming the gates.

Who is this clown kidding? NFL Affirmative Action is very alive and VERY WELL!! McDumba** is a case in point.

A friend of mine was addicted to alcohol.

The desperation of addiction makes a fool out of anyone: rich, poor, smart, dumb, talented, incapable, etc.

From what I've read, Rush tried a couple of the weekend detoxes my friend also tried to no avail.

Rush probably is going to have to take a break from his show and go into full-fledged rehab.

He's going to need our prayers, not our carping and criticism.

In the big picture Rush's resignation-in-leiu-of-being-fired will turn out to be a good thing.

First, it will demonstrate that the left PC crowd really does have an agenda and the power to smash a person's career. There can be no doubt about it, the PC crowd has been exposed by Rush's comments.

Second, this ought to wake a few people up. Ok, take Rush down, but there will be a dozen others come up to replace him.

Maybe Conservatives have leaned on Rush for too long and now it's time for them to step up to the plate.

I didn't realize the implants were painful to endure.

That must be awful. I suffered a perforated ear drum many years ago, and the doctor who treated me at the time had a hard time seeing the eardrum clearly, so he irrigated that ear, I was literally climbing up his arm, writhing in pain.

He prescribed darvasette (sp?) and for 24 hours I knocked myself out with them. Any pain that originates that close to the brain is really unbearable.

For Rush's sake only, I hope he didn't do anything that was contra the law. He is loved by a lot of people and hopefully that'll be enough to see him over this hurdle.
