This whole thing seems... fishy. I mean, the interview was awfully descriptive for a guy who wasn't fluent in English for years into the 80's...
To be honest, I really don't care about this revelation. Does anyone expect someone living in his lifestyle to have an innocent history? Not that I am condoning it, but I could give two figs for this (or Bush's drug/alchohol past). I am voting for these candidates today, not 20 years ago. If this all happened in 1997 I would be much more concerned...

That's kind of a half truth there FC. His "appreciation" of the homosexuals who liked his body (by his own explanation) was because they were buying magazines he was appearing in, which was driving up sales, which in turn was driving up his appearance fee.
Most smart business men appreciate people that make them money.

What is the point of bringing up something Arnold said 26 years ago? People change. They grow up, get married, have children."It is all about sex! Nothing to see here, move on."
Would love to see the responses here if the man giving that interview was one William Jefferson Blythe Clinton.

It is slander to use such fodder in a manner as if it still has relevance today. If you think that such a disingeuous ploy to disparage the man isn't a slanderous I'm sure that your fine with the people whom tried to take advantage of GWB past indiscretions in which he to has admitted to and atoned for.

Enterprise: So, Mr. Schwarzenneger, what were you doing during the 70's?
Arnold: "Sex and pot."
Enterprise: I see. And you, Mr. Bustamante, what were you doing during the 70's?
Bustamante: "I was a member of a group which advocates violence and racism."

BINGO, that is exactly correct, especially in hyper-sexed California... What a miss calculation.

What's dirty about it is the insinuation that he's unfit to serve as Governor. That somehow this makes him incapable of the job. It's not dirty. He did these things. He publicly talked about them. It is perfectly legitimate to question his fitness for office based on this behavior. I clearly recall Bill Clinton getting a lot of heat for his drug use. Many candidates have been disqualified in the minds of the voters because of drugs and "immoral" behavior.
In California, I doubt that admitted marijuana usage (a long time ago) and a vigorous sex drive (in an unmarried man) will be seen as disqualifying. The language is what may put people off.
It may be ugly to watch, but it isn't dirty. Sometimes the truth can be painful.

I can't believe that the Dims are stupid enough to believe that this will cost Arnold votes. The Hispanic men just looked at this article and said to themselves, "Que hombre!"
All this is is a description of the life and good times of the world's most famous bodybuilder in Southern California in the 1970's. Jesus, as if nobody smoked pot back in those days. How many here survived a Dead concert without at least getting astral from the secondhand weed smoke?
I would be more embarrassed to admit that I had a Leisure Suit in my wardrobe in those days than to admit I smoked pot. Geez, this article is rather tame.
California politics has, imho, adopted the Cardinal Rule of Southern Politics: Don't get caught in bed with a dead girl or a live boy.
Be Seeing You,
Chris

And the little round porker was probably chasing men, unlike Arnold who was chasing women.

So he was a kid in the 70's, what was Bustamonte doing??? Huffington???? Davis???? The answer is the same for each. Not Tom McClintock, or most decent conservatives for that matter.

It is slander to use such fodder in a manner as if it still has relevance today Technically/legally, "slander" must be spoken & the words, etc in question must be false.
This is neither.

IIRC, what Clinton got a ot of heat for was his inability to admit that he had ever done anything wrong.
"I didn't inhale."
"I never had sexual relations with that woman..."

Did you see what this guy linked in yesterday?
