If you will, please remember this tiny baby in your prayers. Hes the grandson of a very dear friend of mine. Logan was born on July 25. His due date was in October, making his mommy 26 weeks along, being born 3 months and 3 days early.
Logan was 1 lb 9.4 oz when he was born and is now weighing, as of this morning, 1 lb. 8.3 oz. The little guy is now 12-1/2 long.
Hes a real trooper and is fighting with all his little body can fight with. His Grandma said that hes starting to recognize his mommy when she comes in the room and hears her voice. She said he tries so hard to open his eyes, and starts kicking his feet.
I asked my friend if there were any specific prayers, other than the obvious and this is her reply A prayer of thanks for the miracle called "Logan.
On a personal note, Ive read the emails daily from my friend. Ive known her for years, Ive heard her talking about her family for years but Ive got to tell you that Im SO impressed with how her children have all banded together in support. What an incredibly wonderful and loving family.
Father God, we lift up Logans little body to you. We pray that you can strengthen him hourly, daily, weekly, until hes grown enough to go home with his precious family. We ask for guidance for the doctors and nurses who are caring for him. We ask for strength for his parents and extended family. Thank you so much for the gift of life. In Jesus Name, Amen
Fellow Freepers .I bring you Logan!!!
Neat. Thank you. I can’t believe I’ve been on FR that long. :-)
Yep! NEAT is RIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!
And *cough* WELCOME to FR! ;) :) :)
:-)
Well, I just like to be nice to all the new posters and all.
:)
Ha!
OMIGOD!!! He’s six years old already, and still with that mischievous lovable smile!!!
You guys done good!!
AWESOME!!!! Prayer works!!
We pray for Your will to be done for this little boy. Please strengthen the family and let them keep the baby they’ve raised for so long. You told us that in the end times we’d have a multitude of people who cared only for material and hedonistic things. Please help us to stay out of that trap and to pray for those who have. We pray Your heart of comfort for this family. In the Holy Name of our Lord and Savior, by the Power of the Holy Spirit, Amen.
Thank you so much for the pictures and memories!
I had to respond to you DL. Had it not been for angels like you in the NICU... Logan’s story would be quite different. He has seen some of his nurses that cared for him and they are amazed at how perfect he is. So from our family to you.... thank you for all you do for these little ones. No one quite understands until you’ve been there. You nurses truly are heaven sent.
This child is one of the happiest I’ve ever known. He’s not spoiled as you might think he would be. He shares, he cares, he’s bright, he loves life, has a big interest in computers and can almost tell me how to make something work on it...... and best of all... Logan brings a smile to all that meet him.
Hugs from Texas :)

And to think...6 years ago..we had NO IDEA that this little man would draw us all so close together in prayers..
Checking the computer hour by hour and sometimes minute by minute hoping (and sometimes fearing) the next UPDATE FROM NANA!!
And cursing DIAL UP all the while!
My HUBBA HUBBY was deployed then...my newest little guy was 6 months old and I was SO THANKFUL that everyone in my house was healthy.
So thankful for the hours and days that went by that Logan just grew and grew...
So thankful that he didn’t succumb to the anesthesia during and after the surgeries..
So thankful for Nana’s updates and her knowledge that we NEEDED to know..NEEDED to see...NEEDED to feel what was going on..
So thankful for BG’s attention to the thread all the zillions of updates..
Just so very thankful.
But, of course, ultimately, thankful to God for bringing Logan through.
Happy Birthday Logan.
I’m very, very glad you were born and that you continue to grow.
Auntie Mo
How adorable! Made my evening!!
Six years old now. My!
Seems like only yesterday when you posted this thread, BGM.
What great pics of the little guy. :)
(((((((God Bless))))))
Termite looks like his Daddy!
That picture of Logan and Emelia is priceless! How wonderful that they were able to capture that particular moment.
And, what a great birthday party theme. Logan's mom put in some work there [bet she loved every minute of it too! : )], and looks like Logan really appreciated and enjoyed it. That kid lights up a room like a 1,000 watt light bulb! Thanks for sharing...even if you were stingy about it. ; ) Ha.
HEY there! LOLOLOL!!!!
Oh my goodness! He still has those eyes and smile. And growing so fast!
Thanks for the ping Brad’s Gramma. ((HUGS))
He has my prayers, though indeed God has him in His hands!
