Prayer Request for A Tiny Baby (Update in post #12850)
Myself | 8-11-03 | Brad's Gramma

Posted on 08/11/2003 12:57:30 PM PDT by Brad’s Gramma

If you will, please remember this tiny baby in your prayers. He’s the grandson of a very dear friend of mine. Logan was born on July 25. His due date was in October, making his mommy 26 weeks along, being born 3 months and 3 days early.

Logan was 1 lb 9.4 oz when he was born and is now weighing, as of this morning, 1 lb. 8.3 oz. The little guy is now 12-1/2” long.

He’s a real trooper and is fighting with all his little body can fight with. His Grandma said that he’s starting to recognize his mommy when she comes in the room and hears her voice. She said he tries so hard to open his eyes, and starts kicking his feet.

I asked my friend if there were any specific prayers, other than the obvious…and this is her reply…” A prayer of thanks for the miracle called "Logan.”

On a personal note, I’ve read the emails daily from my friend. I’ve known her for years, I’ve heard her talking about her family for years…but I’ve got to tell you that I’m SO impressed with how her children have all banded together in support. What an incredibly wonderful and loving family.

Father God, we lift up Logan’s little body to you. We pray that you can strengthen him hourly, daily, weekly, until he’s grown enough to go home with his precious family. We ask for guidance for the doctors and nurses who are caring for him. We ask for strength for his parents and extended family. Thank you so much for the gift of life. In Jesus’ Name, Amen

Fellow Freepers…….I bring you Logan!!!

Thank you. I would encourage ALL care givers to get legal authority when you start, and while the other parties are amenable.

It would save a lot of heartache for the little ones.

Remember this picture? Remember this doggie? A note from Beth...

Well, we did it. With lots of prayers and love, Logan is experiencing his first day of Kindergarten!!!!!! He goes to a year round school. He was very excited and not upset at all. I got a little teary going back to my car, but then who wouldn't. His teacher seems very nice. There are about 16-17 kids in his class.
This is a big day for us all. With out the love, care and support this may never have been possible (and special thanks to my Mom, every step of the way, never unfailing...............I love you)
Thank you to all for every thing, and more to come with up-dates of our little man (termite).
All my love,
Beth

Ooooooops. The dog shrunk. AGAIN!

First day of Kindergarten, the poor boy is SO stressed as you can see. *sniff* :)

His teacher put them right to work with a project!

And a note from my friend, Logan's Nana...

Here's pictures I took today from Logan's party. It's hard to believe that Logan is 6! Where did the time go!?!?!
When you look at him now, you'd never dream the beginning he had. Truly, he is one of God's miracles. But you know what, there's also pictures of our precious new baby, Emelia, and she is testament that all babies are a miracle. Perfect little toes, fingers, eyes....... He indeed has blessed this family so.

Hope you enjoy the pictures. It was a wonderful day.... Beth always plans a perfect party for Logan and his friends..... young and old :)

Love to you all..............

Logan's Nana

Gotta check my FRmail before I head out to the party!

And, now, another blast from the past....

Uncle G with his little baby girl!

Blast from the past.........

I am most definitely seeing a pattern here! :) :)

And that is that! THANK YOU EVERYONE for praying for this family all these years....!!!! My sincere apologies for all dial-up's out there......

What a rough beginning Logan had. Everyone so afraid and not knowing from day to day what would happen. Now look at this guy heading into Kindergarten!!! Yes, he truly IS a miracle. He looks so very happy to be going to school with all the other kids. What a fun time he will have and what new friends he will make too. Each project, song, poem, story he learns in school will be all part of God’s plan. The plan HE had for Logan while the rest of us were all praying so hard for this tiny baby to recover and move on with his life. Now he is.
You all look so very happy and rightly so. It was a real honor to pray for Logan’s recovery and now look at him and you all. So proud and happy and that puppy...my, my how he does shrink. That’s amazing. (wink, wink)

Good luck to Logan ... may be live long and prosper. He is destined for great things. I think he has a purpose in life not yet known to the rest of us. Just wish Texas Cowboy could have been there too to walk him to school. I am sure he is looking down though with a big smile on his face and proud as punch of Texas Termite.

Thanks, God!!!!!! :)

How come whenever I look at pictures of little kids and babies the screen gets all blurry?

Think I’ll go visit my grandchildren right now.

BEAUTIFUL PICTURES!!! Good luck and prayers sent to the little guy on his journey to becoming a grown up.

Thanks for the ping, BG...Happy Sixth Birthday to Logan!!!

First day of kindergarten too! Thanks for sharing that with us.

Hubby and I just came in from church and these pics were the first thing we saw when I got on the computer. We loved them, of course. : ) I always get such a kick out of seeing the “shrinking dog”. lol. Yes, he definitely has shrunk some more!

The pics of little Emelia are so adorable. She’s a cutey and really has the look going on with the sun glasses! Ha.

Logan, we love you and still pray for you and the whole family. We are so happy for your new venture into kindergarten. There are lots of new things to learn and do. We know that you will do well, and have fun, and continue to let that light of yours shine there and win many more hearts just as you have won ours.

((((Hugs)))) for you and little Emelia.
