[history]
An Episcopalian friend of mine, reacting to the elevation of an openly homosexual priest to the office of bishop, said to me, "If you're a heterosexual clergyman and you're having sex outside marriage, you can be expelled. But if you're a homosexual clergyman having sex outside marriage, they rejoice." Most denominations that call themselves Christian take the Bible as their text for spiritual and relational instruction. Some in the Episcopal Church take a liberal view of the Bible, just as some do of the U.S. Constitution - it must be constantly updated to suit cultural trends. This view lends itself to constant misinterpretation and confusion. Eventually, it leads to religious or political heresy.

All I can say is AMEN!

Perhaps holiness, like the word "is" during the Clinton administration, depends on what one means at a given moment. .....and to whom one means it, and about whom, and when. Context, after all, is everything to a liberal. It is the grammatical and semiotic keystone of liberal Newspeak.
"Don't worry about what the Bible says: just listen to me."

"If you're a heterosexual clergyman and you're having sex outside marriage, you can be expelled. But if you're a homosexual clergyman having sex outside marriage, they rejoice."Another direct blow to human morality.

If a practicing homosexual priest who divorced his wife and walked out on his children is deemed a fit leader for the Episcopal Church, members are going to have to ask themselves a serious question: Does their denomination represent the will of their God and, if not, why don't they abandon a church that has clearly abandoned Him?
Amen.

With this rebuff to Biblical authority, the Episcopal Church has become the model denomination for a post-Biblical era.

The Protestant Hymnal standard, "Faith of Our Fathers" has no meaning for these people.

If a person knows God, then he also should know when God has left the building. The question he must then ask is "Why am I still here?" The lampstand is gone from the Episcopal Church, but there are plenty of other churches where it remains.

Ted Kennedy attends church only wen called upon to attend a funeral or something of that nature. I'm pretty sure that he doesn't try too hard to maintain the illusion of his catholicism.
Cal Thomas is a Catholic, the genuine article, to the best of my knowledge.
Is there any question anymore that we are under a relentless assault to normalize perversity in the form of the gay agenda? Any question that this is a cohesive and comprehensive action to overturn the hardwon wisdom of the millenia in regards to the basis of human society?

Is there any question anymore that we are under a relentless assault to normalize perversity in the form of the gay agenda? Not since posters like Bryan and EdReform put up big chunks of Marshall Kirk and "Erastes Pill"'s article "Overhauling Straight America" on FR, the gay-newsweekly article that, in Kirk's hands, eventually became After the Ball.
