*Note* ~ The text for today's thread was submitted to me by nicmarlo several weeks ago. Since then, she has virtually disappeared from FR. I still wanted to present this lighthearted, personal view of life and I hope to hear from dear nicmarlo once again really soon.

Things I've Learned In Life

For the convenience of all skiers on the ski lift, when you get to the top, you're supposed to ski off the lift (rather than have the operator stop the lift, remove your skis, and catch you in their arms).

If you want your car to run, the engine must have oil in it.

You don't need to drive around town to find out if tire stores have the size tires you need; you can call them, instead, if you know that those little numbers on the sides of tires gives you the size.

Never do anything wrong in front of your little brother.

Before you get in a long line to have the grocery store check out your completely full basket, make sure you brought your checkbook.

Before you get to work, check your shoes (and socks) to make sure they match.

2) Once there you can click on any month and even click to the right to go into next year. Once you are in the month that you joined FR you will need to click on the number in the calendar and then an add item screen will come up.
3) In the next box enter your name in the "Calendar Text" field and then click on submit.
4) If any of the screens fail to load simply click on refresh in your browser and that will usually fix it.

Protect and guide our Military that are now being called to duty, strengthen them in their trials and temptations; give them courage to face the perils which beset them; and grant them a sense of your abiding presence wherever they may be; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

I love the kitties - saw your post to Aqua about Dan coloring the eyes. :) Someone's paying attention! :) It's funny, but I've always (as much as I could) put purple on you, blue on me, red on daisy, green (don't ask me why) on dutchess, aqua on Aqua (of course!), yellow or white on Lori, and now without daisy (I love red) - Free is red!

More than a few, but the most recent one just yesterday is
"Always have your cell phone charged and with you!"

My car's Nervous Breakdown in the middle of nowhere, described on last night's thread, illustrates that wonderfully.

It enabled me immediate contact with the Ajax White Knight and the U.S. Cavalry, saving the day.

Yes, martin_fierro - it *might* have been caused when I discharged a bit of excessive power on the Rude Dude who was tailgating me...:))

Car should be repaired and delivered to my door in a couple of hours.... After Action Report will be given.
