Publisher Lied About Hillary Book Sales
June 16, 2003
Here are some facts to smash the myths on Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton's new book: There were not a million printed. There were not 200,000 sold on the first day. There was not a "leak" to the Associated Press of the book's content. Hillary's publisher, Simon & Schuster, sent the data on Bill and Monica to AP. The American Prowler reports all of this.
More: Ann Coulter wrote a great column about this guy named Packer who made a big show of rushing to buy the book at midnight when it went on sale. He's quoted all over the place as a "man on the street." The truth? He's one of Hillary's campaign aides! Read this column, because it's truly amazing. The whole thing was staged. There weren't any real life book fans out there panting to get Hillary's book. This Packer guy was just part of the campaign. The Clintons corrupt everyone they touch, and that's been proven with this corruption of Simon & Schuster.
The Prowler quotes internal memos at the publisher: "Part of the plan to generate buzz on the book was the leaking of some of the most sensational tidbits that had been pulled together by three ghost writers for the former first lady." That was just an old trick to boost sales. You could run these sorts of scams 15 or 20 years ago before the new media, but not anymore. Not with us around.
. . .well agree, for sure, with where you are coming from; and did give pause to my inclusive statement on Bill and Hill's lust for power. . .did think perhaps I should be more lust specific re Bill's self-indulgence. . .
but then thought really, it is still the same. . .his woman thing is just a sexist version of a power fix.
But thanks and I surely do not want it to appear that I have overlooked Bill's credentials as a totally self-fulfilling individual :^)
Thank you for posting this lovely picture of golden Ann...it helps reduce the nausea I was having over this post.
This one helps as well.
The only thing honest about Hillary's memoir, that would be the entire production, start to finish. . .from receipt of cash advance to Hill's royalties and anyone elses through distortions and outrightlies of PR and Marketing;. . .
. . . is that it has been a sham; a lie perpetrated against the public for personal gain.
Is there not at least a 'moral comparison' between this book; and the very least of what Martha Stewart is accused of? . . .and maybe what Sam Waxsal is guilty of?
I saw it while surfing. I hafta give her plenty of credit - she did get those legs crossed although she had to almost lay flat to do it.
She could get a gig on most comedy shows...
I'll give Rush the benefit of the doubt. He had only a few hours to prepare his radio show after coming off a golf trip to Ireland.
While describing the symptoms of his hearing loss, he mentioned that, at times, those that can't hear themselves sometimes don't know what they JUST said and have a tendency to constantly repeat themselves. Since his implant, I've noticed some speech changes and slight difficulty with a few callers. He may have read Coulter's piece a bit too fast or got confused with all the players involved. All in all, I think he does a great job. And because of this thread, he just may correct himself as he usually does...
I take it the same as some WWF promo. It's fake, everyone knows it's fake, but they have fun with it.
Consider these moral implications - a so-called wife has to write a book about their cheating so-called spouse in order to clear up why she accepts and allows the cheating. Meanwhile, there is no end in sight for the lying and infidelity. It's all done so they both can advance in power and status.
Doesn't really say a whole lot about either of them...
Or get a job with the NY Times.
ROFLMBO!
Only $355 to own a bit of history...
I think Rush is being clever in this. Maybe too clever. He is trying to plant the idea that this oft-quoted "man in the street" is a Clintoon plant, in order to discredit papers who do these silly "man-in-the-street" features in the first place.
Face it, how many times do you hear these morons quoted spouting the most ridiculous line of Clintonista BS, and scratch your head and wonder if the whole World has lost it's collective mind. Planting the seed of an idea that these interviews are a Clintoon put-up-job would go a long way to minimize the effectiveness of these stories.
. . .but we do not put Simon/Shuster promoting non-fiction in the same category of WWF entertainment; nor does the Media who hypes all this with great sincerety; and this show is not performed for our entertainment; but rather, only for their profit.
And yes, Hillary's 'profit motives' are political and in the end, her 'profit' is at the expense of Country; and there is nothing funny or entertaining about that!
No matter where we are in the news today; the 'sleaze factor' continues to grow around us, and Liberals and Liberalism seem to be the seeds and the fertilizer. . .and of course, there is Hillary and Bill, still doing their jobs as our 'National Gardeners' . . .
