Publisher Lied About Hillary Book Sales
June 16, 2003
Here are some facts to smash the myths on Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton's new book: There were not a million printed. There were not 200,000 sold on the first day. There was not a "leak" to the Associated Press of the book's content. Hillary's publisher, Simon & Schuster, sent the data on Bill and Monica to AP. The American Prowler reports all of this.
More: Ann Coulter wrote a great column about this guy named Packer who made a big show of rushing to buy the book at midnight when it went on sale. He's quoted all over the place as a "man on the street." The truth? He's one of Hillary's campaign aides! Read this column, because it's truly amazing. The whole thing was staged. There weren't any real life book fans out there panting to get Hillary's book. This Packer guy was just part of the campaign. The Clintons corrupt everyone they touch, and that's been proven with this corruption of Simon & Schuster.
The Prowler quotes internal memos at the publisher: "Part of the plan to generate buzz on the book was the leaking of some of the most sensational tidbits that had been pulled together by three ghost writers for the former first lady." That was just an old trick to boost sales. You could run these sorts of scams 15 or 20 years ago before the new media, but not anymore. Not with us around.

I missed Ann's column the first time around...
Walters also astutely observed that "in addition to being first lady, you're a mother." Will Hillary's mind-boggling feats never end? Usually such phony liberal amazement at the staggering heroism of women ends with the woman drowning all her children.
LOL... Though in Chelsea's case, I could call it a mercy killing.
According to an ABC poll, 48 percent of Americans have an unfavorable impression of Hillary, 53 percent of Americans don't want Hillary to ever run for president, and 7 percent of Americans have been date-raped by Bill Clinton.

I took the qutoe directly from the Coulter article. Once again, here it is:
Greg Packer, who was the centerpiece of the New York Times' "man on the street" interview about Hillary-mania. After being first in line for an autographed book at the Fifth Avenue Barnes & Noble, Packer gushed to the Times...
Greg Packer, first in line. You can't read this quote without admitting Rush was right.

This was also my favorite on Amazon:
5 people recommended Treason: Liberal Treachery from the Cold War to the War on Terrorism in addition to Living History
Is this an appropriate recommendation?

. . .Take a power obsessed couple with mafia-like virtues and values; and practices; add a fawning left/wing media and maybe this disaster could happen. . .
Her husband, manages to garnish a s...t load of press; just on a rumor 'floated' re his wanting to be mayor of NYC. . .and they are already talking about 'his book'. . .
Sometimes feel like like I am watching a population of lemmings; addicted to the Clinton's and hurrying to their end. . .

Some random thoughts: The production companies [in the 1970s] in the movie making business would use strange accounting
procedures to shift profits around to put shines on sneakers. The problem was, if you're Sean Connery and was
due a piece of what became a box office hit, a very large portion of your profits was shifted to some really smelly sneakers.
Could this happen at Simon and Schuster?
My other wondering is how are ghost writers compensated? If S&S is saying 400K books, and it's by the copy, can the ghost writers go after the royalties on 400K copies?

OK, one more time. The error is that Rush said he was an aide to Hillary.
Here is Rush's quote from HIS article:
Ann Coulter wrote a great column about this guy named Packer who made a big show of rushing to buy the book at midnight when it went on sale. He's quoted all over the place as a "man on the street." The truth? He's one of Hillary's campaign aides!
Mr. Packer may have been first in line, but he is NOT one of Hillary's aides! He is a celebrity chaser.

It has been awhile, hasn't it, my friend?
I try to check in now and then, but the environment of my job and female supervisor in the last two years has been like Dante's ninth circle--and I've had scant time to visit FR.
Speaking of Dante's hell, the thought of the shrill rapist's wife being held in Satan's mouth does rather delight me, however . . . Ugh! She is such an evil, evil piece of trash!
I'll see 'ya around . . . Hope you've been well!
Best wishes as always,
Penny

The truth? He's one of Hillary's campaign aides! Let me help you out here; Greg Packer may very well have been FIRST IN THE LINE, but he is/was not a campaign aide for Hillary.
That is NOT what Ann Coulter said.
Rush was wrong.
And you owe Miss Marple an apology.

The bad thing is I found that wav hosted at a free site. So those links don't always work that great. They either get assigned a different cgi file name when filed at the server or they have hit limits.
