My black cat is a couch potato.

Hmmmmmm........I wonder why it is "black" cats are considered bad luck and not calico, or white, or tortoise....it's always the poor black cat that gets the rap.

I'm not sure, but I think The business of black cats started in the Middle Ages, when folks frimly believed in witches and evil demons.

The black cat was considered to be the witch's "familiar" his/her demon companion. So the poor old black cat was demonized by the Church and has been a symbol of bad luck ever since.

But I think that they are the most beautiful cat. 'course I like cats of any color!

I left rather upbruptly this morning after reading about whoever, that shocked me and I had to get away from here for a while. I'm okay now. I just didn't know how ill she was.

I understand, Pippin. Even to those who knew how sick she was, it is a shock to be told she is no longer with us. I know there are many of us who will miss our dear "who".

I was hesitant to post this frivolous, fun thread today, under the circumstances, but Billie will be posting a thread in remembrance of whoever on Monday. I am told it is to be a 'celebration' of her time here at FR. She would like that. :-)
