A new report argues that chimpanzees are so closely related to humans that they should be included in our branch of the tree of life. Chimpanzees and other apes have historically been separated from humans in classification schemes, with humans deemed the only living members of the hominid family of species

"What was the evidence again, I seem to have missed something?"Rapier-like wit like this reminds me that if there IS a thing as evolution, humans are retrogressing...

Evolution teaches we came from the same single-celled organism. Plants came before animals. Therefore we came from plants. So you tell me why a plant would become a mammal.
Where does evolution teach this? That's like saying the Theory of Gravity teaches where matter comes from.

In California can the chimps decide their gender?

Yep, it's scientific, quantifiable fact and repeatable data that chimps are human! Undeniable!

Even more ironic .... it will be murder to kill a chimp, but ok to kill a baby just before it's born.I was laughing, thinking of the outrageousness of the whole thing until I scrolled down and came to your post.
So very sad and so very true and so very sick and twisted...

Why have we not retained the capacity to swing through the trees in our BVDs? Life would be so much better had we remained as chimps.

Most of the DNC are chimps... That's kind of an insult to chimps --- they aren't that bad.

And hint, we are just another animal, we just happen to be the smartest one.A lot of animals are smart --- chimps can be taught some things but I doubt they can be taught what a dog or horse or a smart bird can be taught. They're cute at times but not very compatible with humans. In many ways dogs are more like humans and fit in with our social structure a lot better.

Did you bother to read the article, and perhaps learn something .... or are you so wise, as that reading and learning are beneath you? Many people learn the facts first, and make informed decisions, then there is the other camp.

Wait, I agree with you.
Chimps are humans and I'm sure you will also believe this when a chimp in need of a kidney transplant is in line ahead of your daughter who needs one as well...

Did anyone else read that headline as "Chimps Now to be Considered Hamas"? I'll admit I did a double-take when I first saw it.
