All of this drivel from representatives of a country that is so corrupt that people can't run a business and employ people. If they cleaned up their government and got rid of the major criminals in and out of government maybe they could attract investments and employ people.

Plain English translation:
As long as we can dump our problems on the US, we will do nothing.

What is wrong with Mexico? They have a willing workforce, usually with at least a sufficient level of education, petroleum resources, two coastlines, and yet they cannot get any industry going there that will provide jobs in Mexico itself.
Cui bono? Who is profiting from this situation?

Access to US jobs I have no problem with.
It's access to free US welfare checks and medical coverage that I object to.

.........but the flow of illegal immigrants will continue so long as there is no organized and legal way to seek temporary work in the United States........What does this person consider temporary? Do any of them ever go back other than vacations?
".........illegal immigrants will continue so long as there ................." is not a large enough supply of domestic Chicken Pluckers. With so many lay-offs and permanent discharges from the manufacturing sector, we should encourage these newly unemployed Americans to make a career change. They should head to their nearest Chicken Plucking Academy and enroll so they can become productive again in the "new economy" and not allow these lucrative jobs go to illegals ;-)

But he repeated his government's position that it can do nothing to stop its citizens from traveling freely.
How dare he... Yet my real anger and frustration is with BOTH political parties and "leaders" for their role in supporting law breaking.

If we give access to jobs through some kind of bracero program, we'd still have illegals coming across. There are many more who want to come than we have room for or the ability to absorb. They will keep coming too, until there is a reason for them to stay home or we find a way to stop them. If I lived in Mexico and made $50 per month, you can bet I'd be hot-footing north too.

Why doesn't Mexico really help it's own people? That should be where they start. They should be providing jobs; instead of stealing money and power for themselves.

Mexico is committed to reducing migrant deaths and improving security on the border, but the flow of illegal immigrants will continue so long as there is no organized and legal way to seek temporary work in the United States, Mexico's deputy foreign minister said Saturday.A stone freaking lie! You set up a guest worker program and it's laws will be violated to the max with Mexicans bringing over family and staying forever. There is no thing as permanent as a temporary worker. Just look at the Turks in Germany when they've long outlived their usefulness as guest workers.
Guest workers are not machines but are people who will do what they'll want to do in the USA since we are so loathe to enforce laws when it comes to illegal alien Mexicans and deport them. These arrogant, pushy jack assses who run Mexico will get nothing when the economy is so poor.

and here I was under the impression that we had some kind of work visa program all along...

Access to U.S. jobs a must, Mexico says This shows how far we have fallen as a country. When a Two-Bit Banana Republic like Mexico can DEMAND that OUR Government continue to let Mexico replace American Workers with their Illegal Aliens you know ALL Respect for America IS GONE. Our self-respect as a Sovereign Country is Gone too...and they know it. Its all too clear that Our Government No Longer Represents American Citizens. Thanks Jorge.

Let's see how much Fox REALLY cares about his illegals by mentioning again we'd like to tie a deal with oil rights in exchange for illegals. We take Mexican oil, we take Mexicans. Otherwise no deal ---we need to have a way to defray some of the costs to the US taxpayers.

but the flow of illegal immigrants will continue so long as there is no organized and legal way to seek temporary work in the United States, Mexico's deputy foreign minister said Saturday. You know...since we as a nation are so fond of China...I'd bet that for the right price they'd show us how to seal the border so tight that not even a flea could get across. And considering the massive costs that illegal immigration represents in terms of health care, crime, and education, we could hire lots of US citizens for $40,000 a year and put them to work guarding the border - and still come ahead on overall costs.
Ahh, well. All a fantasy, I fear.

"the flow of illegal immigrants will continue so long as there is no organized and legal way to seek temporary work in the United States" How about this: "the flow of illegal immigrants will continue stop so long as soon as there is no organized and legal easy way to seek temporary work in the United States and people stop thinking they have to reward these criminals with jobs and government giveaways."
