Get ready for the Bushies versus Mickey Mouse.
Some stalwart supporters of the President are organizing a boycott of Disney after it was revealed that a subsidary of the company is helping finance Michael Moore's 'Farenheit 9/11,' which is expected to come out in time for the 2004 election and reportedly will show links between the Bush dynasty and Osama Bin Laden.
On Friday, Variety reported Disney's Mirimax would provide funding for the flick after Mel Gibsons Icon Productions dropped the project.
'Financing Michael Moore's 2004 attack film is UNACCEPTABLE, notes a poster (recovering_democrat) on the Conservative web site Free Republic, which gives contact numbers for people to complain to both Mirimax and Disney.
The site also urges boycotts of all Disney products, including Disney World and even ABC.
A source close to Mirimax says the company is undaunted, 'We have weathered storms like this before.'
When asked about the planned boycott by Free Republic.com, the insider said, 'Whoever they are, they are entitled to their opinion.'

How old is your little Gabrielle? Did you mean you named her?
My granddaughter Gabbie ;) is 9 years old now and I had a dream that was her name at birth, so my daughter did a "Charmed" thing and felt that was to be her name.

I heard they were closing this year.

Thank you. I think Moore and Disney have a big problem on their hands. Moore's history is his worst enemy, and conservatives have it in for Disney to begin with. FReegards....

Doug on Hannity just the other day and now msnbc. Doug is sounding like a radio pro and covered the President's flight like a journalist for Hannity. Hannity calls him freeper Doug. Hannity can't believe threads re: him that hit 400 posts.
Are we hot or what? LOL
I always knew we were. This is just the beginning, Meek. Is somebody keeping track of all the earned media we are scoring?

I've been gardening instead of posting lately. Maybe you are already done but music is the universal language imo. If you check out an older video of Michael Jackson Black or White, it's kind of I'd like to give the world a coke.
Or, if it's more serious, we don't want anyone in the world to be killed in a terrorist attack.
Finally, people should find that we care about our families and our friends more than the material things we can afford. We also have sickness and debts. Girls and guys get dumped. People lose their jobs. Most Americans are positive even in the worst of times.

Good points. Thank you. I think if Coke can sell generations around the world, the hope of a better life if you drink some black liquid, we can surely start making the values we would like to uphold look far more inviting by selling a dream. We need to draw people to us with kindness, (that does not mean hand outs, just empathy) to influence them in our own society as well.

In yesterdays Philadelphia Inquirer:
Moore Movie Deal
Bowling for Columbine director Michael Moore, who called President Bush a "fictitious president" in his controversial Oscar acceptance speech, has landed a deal with with Walt Disney's Miramax Films to make a movie that is likely to generate even more heat for the documentary filmmaker.
Fahrenheit 911-- the title marries the date of the hijackings to the title of Ray Bradbury's dystopian novel Fahrenheit 451--will look at alleged links between the families of Bush and Osama bin Laden, the Islamic militant accused of coordinating the Sept 11 hijackings.
Miramax took over after Mel Gibson's withdrew backing for the production. Miramax will provide a few million dollars in temporary "bridge" funding, which offers the studio less risk than longer term financing.
But some groups are already up in arms about the deal. Conservative Web site (www.freerepublic.com) calls the project an "attack film on Bush" and urges boycotts of all Disney products. A source close to Miramax says the company is undaunted by the threat.
Free Republic bold and blue mine.

Michael "GOEBBELS" Moore is a socialist pimp.
as a self respecting professional PIMP I take great exception to Jabba the Mutt being referred to as a PIMP
