[history]
Deep in the ruins of a Hebrew town sacked nearly 3,000 years ago by an Egyptian Pharaoh, scientists say they have discovered new evidence for the real-life existence of the Bible's legendary kingdoms of David and Solomon.
The evidence refutes recent claims by other researchers who insist that the biblical monarchs were merely mythic characters, created by scholars and scribes of antiquity who made up the tales long after the events to buttress their own morality lessons.

Would it were true would be truer, though no less true if not for God's purpose.

So, archeology continues to confirm the writings of the Bible.
The only surprise is for the Biblical Liberals. Drats!, again.

I really wonder at this tendency to think that our ancestors were liars who had nothing better to do then waste precious scarce resources writing coming up with long complicated histories that fit together, had time lines, geographies, major and minor players, redundancy all to come up with a morality lesson.
We are talking a Epic on the scale of entire The Lord of the Rings cannon but set in a geographically real location. And with real countries. Including ones that were not around when the story was supposedly written.
Does that sound even remotely possible?
I'll get off my soap box now.
