Disgusting. Any other outlets reporting anything different....anything more reality-based? Let's hope the guy from Time sticks to his original story.

Last night it was being reported that he was a black Muslim. Time to root out all his buddies for some intensive questioning.

I think Akbar should be parachuted into the Tigris in front of the media hotel where there was all that commotion over supposed downed pilots.

The family of his victim has been notified but I didn't catgch the name.

In any event, this muslim would have killed somebody had he been allowed to forward with 101. Don't they have a brig in the military and why didn't they jail the guy when "he was acting weird"?

Eternal vigilance is the cost of liberty.

If what you are saying is correct, then membership in the Black Muslim organizations should be considered as totally incompatible with military service.

It is amazing, but not really surprising, that they are allowed in the military.

Drudge really pissed me off with his image today.

I sent him a flaming rebuke, but it will not go through.

E-mail keeps coming back here.

I am very pissed at Matt Drudge today!

Is the media (including FOX) still putting out the bullsh/t that this Islamoterrorist in U.S. military garb was "upset about not being placed at the front lines?"

I tend to think that he was upset about not going forward with his unit because he had planned to do something big at a critical moment. Instead, all he could do was lob a grenade into a tent. Not exactly what he had in mind.

If I were preparing to take soldiers into battle in these circumstances, I would take special notice of anyone known to be Muslim or with a Muslim name. Officially, you can't discriminate, but I would privately keep those facts in mind as I made assignments.

I'm not surprised. I read the name yesterday early on at FR in the earliest report from cbs or at sky news.

Today is the first time that a name has been officially released.......there were reports early on that there was Mohammed somewhere in his name, but that was from mostly 2nd and 3rd hand info.

"This is precisely why the 442nd fought in the European Theater in WWII. Have we not remembered the lessons so painfully learned in our history?"

The 442 was sent to europe so they would not be confused with the enemy, I'm sure that any knowledge of the Japanese languge was exploited to also confound the enemy.

Many solders of Italian and German ancestry served throughout the European Theater.

"Have we not remembered the lessons so painfully learned in our history?"

We ARE remembering them - when Americans were sent to "resettlement camps" because of their ancestry.
The soldiers killed and wounded in this attack were supporting the highest ideals of a free America where we do our best to guard against treachery, but welcome everyone to become American.
