If only 2% of US military are Muslims then, in a size of the force deployed in Iraq, there are 4,000 of them who are doing their duty creditably. One person should not nullify that. I remember the young Afghan-American who translated in Kabul for the American army. And the Muslim imam who does daily prayers at Gitmo. But I am curious about black muslims who normally convert in jail ... are ex-cons allowed to join the military? Anyone know?

Remove every moslem immediately from the United States Armed ServicesGive me a break. Every Muslim I know appreciates their freedoms in this country more than we do. They have lived with the oppression of Iran and Iraq in their lifetime.
They are not the problem. The fact that political correctness stops us from evaluating anyone who may fit the enemy profile is! Remove the democrats from the D.O.D. , the N.S.A. and the Pentagon if you want this crap to stop.

The second guy being held is a black Muslim?
To: goodnesswins
That, I do not know ((black or regular muslim). It would be kind of hard to tell wouldn't it....do they have some kind of card they carry to certify they are one or the other? (Sorry, that's partially sarcasm.) Not hard to tell at all. Are they from Arab or muslim exotraction? Or are they blacks who are generally converted in prison? I share your reservations about muslims but those who convert in prison are especially dangerous IMO.

I agree with you your sentiment...but "born muslim"?

Don't forget that that Prime Minister of India was killed by her own Secret Service. She had gone out her way to include members of the opposition party Sikhs) as her security detail, and when she wasn't looking, she was gunned down by her Sikh bodyards (her opponents).

are ex-cons allowed to join the military? I was wondering that myself. I think misdemeanors are ok but I doubt felonies are. Don't know for sure.

What is Taqiyah? He who disbelieves in Allah after his belief in Him, (is the liar) except he who is compelled while his heart remains steadfast with the faith (has nothing worry). But who opens his breast for infidelity; on these is wrath of Allah, and for them is a great torment.
--Quran, Surah 16 (an‑Nahl), verse 100
This verse of the Quran refers to the incident when 'Ammar bin Yasir (May Allah be pleased with both) had to utter some words against Islam to save himself from the Quraishite infidels.
The Qur'an clearly allows hiding one 's true faith when one is in danger of one's life. This rule is called taqiyah.
Question 1: What is the meaning of "Taqiyah"?
Answer: Its literal meaning is to safeguard; to defend; to fear; piety (because it saves one from the displeasure of Allah).
Question 2: What is its significance in Islamic terminology?
Answer: In Islamic terminology it means "to save life, honour. or property (either one's own or of other believers) by hiding one's belief or religion".
I imagine the rule would apply in a lesser way to a Muslim who hides his jihad sympathies.

I was listening to CNN radio, and Aaron Brown was trying his best to make it seem like the guy was just ticked off at the Colonel for some reason or the other. Jim Lacey set him straight; said there's no way the guy even KNEW the Colonel because the attacker had only been attached to this unit for a short time. But apparently it had been time enough for them to notice that he had some 'issues', wasn't doing his work well, or in a timely fashion. They knew the guy was trouble, but they must never have imagined this.
I guess they'll be on the lookout for it now.
Aaron Brown said something else earlier that just p*issed me off so bad. He actually took time to apologize to ANTI-WAR protesters for having made it sound like the Pro-Military rallies had been as large as the Anti-War ones. He said he didn't want to OFFEND any of them, by diminishing their efforts. What a putz!

This could get real ugly - the media is going to have a field day with this. The spin will be this "unpopular" war is even causing our soldiers to go nuts, a la Vietnam. Certainly a possibility given their love of the peaceniks.

We are not at war with Muslims. We are at war with radical extremests who have a dificulty translating the Qu'Ran correctly. Because someone is a muslim in no way shape or form makes him a terrorist or threat to the free world. Remeber: ALL generalizations are false.

I hope your comment is exaggerated. We want to DEFEAT them, not BECOME them.

murdering your own fellow soldiers in a wartime theater is a capital offense under the UCMJ. If convicted in a court martial (either in the rear or in a drumhead) he can (and will) be sentenced to die by firing squad or hanging. Preferably the latter.

Yes, and I agree. But the comment I was referring left out the parts about "court martial" and "If convicted".
To: MP5SD
Then why do I continually see reports that say "none of the injuries are considered to be life-threatening?"

Thanks for the heads up. What everyone needs to be fully cognizant of is the fact that this is not the first apprehension of an individual in the US Armed Forces for cooperating with America's muslim enemies. Clearly some serious measures need to be taken.

"Because someone is a muslim in no way shape or form makes him a terrorist or threat to the free world. Remeber: ALL generalizations are false. It's pro Muslim statements like this that piss me off to no end. It's idiots that think we should consider Muslims our friends that are getting our people killed. All Muslims should be removed from the US military, my guess is if we do not do this more of our people will die. Nothing like being an American Soldier and having to worry if some "Muslim-American" soldier is going to take offense at what you are doing and decide to kill off a few of your fellow Soldiers.
