'US SOLDIER ATTACKS TROOPS' [unsanitized discussion of MUSLIM treason suspect]

'US SOLDIER ATTACKS TROOPS'

An American Muslim soldier is understood to have carried out a grenade attack on a US military camp which injured 16 soldiers.

A second man, who is not a soldier, is thought to be held.

Three grenades were rolled into three tents housing military leaders of the 101st Airborne Division Saturday night at Camp Pennsylvania, home of the, near the Iraqi border, said Sky correspondent Stuart Ramsay, who is in the base.

The grenade that was rolled into the first tent, where the commanding officer sleeps, did not go off.

But two other grenades used to attack tents where the unit's majors and captains sleep did explode.

'Acting weird'

Ramsay watched as the suspects were held.

"Two men are being held, one of which is a Muslim soldier who is an engineer," Ramsay said.

"It appears he was hiding in a barrack where the attacks happened. A second man, who we believe is not an American soldier, is being held by the military.

"As the man who carried out the attack moved away there was some shooting. He was shot in the leg. He was held on the ground less than 100 yards from where the attack happened."

He said fears about the Muslim soldier's behaviour had been raised in recent days by colleagues.

Interrogation

"In recent days they were concerned about his behaviour and were not going to send him up to the front when the soldiers were going to be deployed."

It is not clear whether the soldier, who Ramsay said would have been in the Gulf for some weeks, had planned the attack before being deployed.

"To be honest we just do not know," Ramsay said.

"Talking to other soldiers, it could be that he was disgruntled. They said he had been acting 'weird' for days."

Eleven soldiers who were seriously hurt were flown out of the camp by helicopter.

"Have you ever been a member of an organization that advocates the overthrow of the United States government ??

Now, someone correct me if I'm wrong, but muslims as part of their pillar of faith advocate Jihad.
Jihad = the replacement of all governments with sharia law.

So why shouldn't all muslims by DEFINITION be barred from US military service ???"

You've hit the nail on the head! On the basis of this, not only should they be banned from military service, they should be banned from obtaining US citizenship - and no, this is not racism as Islam is a philosophy that one voluntarily chooses to follow as one would choose nazism or communism.

Unfortunately, DC is too PC to listen to such commen sense ideas - starting with GW Bush and his "good islam/bad islam" foolishness.

"the fact he is black has nothng to do with being a traitor"

I don't think that the fact that posters are pointing out that he is a black Muslim is a reflection of racism, but rather a way of distinguishing the particular brand of Islamic insanity. The Farrakhan freaks, predominantly black, have a different underlying agenda than Arab types. They are both evil to the core

There is also no solid info on whether his being Muslim was a factor either.

Right. Purely cooincidence. Like the 15 911 highjackers, the Egyptian at the El Al counter in LA, The DC snipers, Sammy Al Arian. Complete cooincidence. How deep in the sand is your head buried?

Ok, first, I saved your link. It is very late here. I WILL review it.

Second, are we separating the 'Arab Tent' from Muslims in discussing this? Also, I've read 3 different translations of the Quran plus, from what I've learned only, only Imaan somehow instituted from Mecca can issue Fatwas. And the Fatwas I referred to where in my initial post to you were from Mecca recognized Imaan representing all the different Muslim religions. AND, the Arab Muslims I know have family in the Mid East that will suffer if Fatwas aren't carried out.

Help me out here. It is way to late for me to engage in this type of thread; but you are the first I've met that seem to understand enough to answer these questions.

My head isn't buried in the sand, I just prefer to base my opinion on facts rather than emotion and speculation.
Notice I did not say it couldn't be a factor, but that there *was no solid info*.

They are already trying to spin this as a crazy soldier couldnt take it anymore
rather than a planted al-Qaeda sleeper agent...or just a muslim under the toutelage of one of the US Armys Wahabbi Imman Chaplins
The fact that two or three tents containing the Brigade Commander the XO and members of either the TOC or Brigade commo staff ...this was a co-ordinated attack by a muslim and his enemy cohorts...
Resentment was not the motive...this was not a spontaneous attack it was well planned and co-ordinated with accomplises..
The Army cannot afford to tell the truth about this at this time..their vulnerability to internal muslims..nor can they afford criticism at home at the racial level..
This was an assasination attempt at the highest level of commanders in the brigade...by a muslim period...
The story is being spun now that he may not be a muslim...yet the embedded reporter who the army told fox to take his word at face value is being over ridden by the sky net reporter...

Truth here is about to become a casualty..

"the rest of the world is a bunch of jealous thugs."

If they directed all the energy into productive pursuits that they expend on their hatred of America and Israel, their lives and their countries would likely be much better off and they would have no reason to be envious.

Internment is unconstituional.

The Supreme Court found it constitutional in Korematsu.

The motivation: "Resentment". Leaves a lot of questions.
"The US Army has not confirmed if he is in fact muslim". That's the current report.

Anyone who practices that religion is going to have to be deported from the U.S.

Talk about a complete non-starter. Widespread advocacy of this would turn America against conservatives for a generation. And dare I ask where we would send them, given that roughly half are converts or children of converts?

The only liberal value I find to be common in FR is to the idea that we need complete safety. In fact, there is a trade-off bewtween decency and legality on the one hand and safety on the other, and thank God the first hand is the one President Bush plays.

Yeah, that is interesting. CBS radio just had a headline: Americans Attacking Americans. They did manage to mention he was muslim, but the "story" was American against American. The initial thought of terrorism was actually correct, but that word has definitely been erased. Winston would understand. GAG ME!!

Why do you think that France is so vehemently opposed to the war in Iraq? Could it be because it is a political necessity to placate the 10% of their population that is Muslim?

Well said... and very true. Although I've read France's Muslim population may be as high as 25% counting illegals. A very scary future for Europe.

Extremely reliable and truthful. British sister-station of Foxnews. They have (or had) a live web feed from which one could watch their coverage. I believe they do a better job than all three American cable news channels.

Learn to think.

There are a quarter million or so troops in this war on Iraq and the ONE who turns out to be a traitor is a Muslim. That's no coincidence, and anyone who thinks it might be has the reasoning powers of a cheese eating surrender monkey.
