Modesto, CA -[Missing pregnant woman] Laci Peterson's family fired another salvo at her husband Scott during interviews on two national cable shows Tuesday night, demanding he answer both their questions and those of Modesto investigators.
Meanwhile a source with inside information about the case told KTVU's Ted Rowlands that Scott Peterson continued to be the focus in the case.
The source added that even without a body an arrest 'could come in a matter of weeks, not months.'
On FOX News Tuesday night, Ron Grantski-Laci's Stepfather--demanded that Scott answer all the family questions surrounding his possible involvement in Laci's disappearance on Christmas Eve.

Shades of OJ.....I did read that he had cuts on his hands which he attributed to the work he does.....lifting heavy items into his truck. Evidently there is forensic evidence but I doubt very much that they have enough for an arrest. We have seen this same spin during the Jon Benet investigation.

I believe it's wrong to arrest Scott Peterson without first securing a second resolution by the U.N. Security Council. Yes, you are right. Inspections haven't been given enough time to work either...LOL.

DNA tests showed the blood in truck was Scott's.

The Modesto Bee reports this morning that SP's warehouse space sustained damage from what appears to be a vehicle crashing into the front door.
Also, Modesto Police came to his house yesterday and spoke with him for about 10 minutes.

To make an arrest and get an indictment on someone, the DA must have reasonable evidence that a crime has been committed. I wonder what that would be.

Could come in weeks, yeah. Just a sop for the family after the big day 2/10/03. Me, I'd let this "source" pick any month he wants from here to 2005 for The Arrest Of Scott Petersen, and bet him $500 even-money that he's wrong. I'd let him try it a second time, too.

Local news coverage perhaps, but he's not a DA -- it's part of his name.

We have seen this same spin during the Jon Benet investigation.I hope they find whoever did that crime.

First someone broke into Scott Peterson's house, and now someone has bashed in the door at his warehouse. Peterson, husband of Laci Peterson, the 27-year-old Modesto woman who has been missing since Christmas Eve,
called authorities at 10 a.m. Saturday to report the vandalism. My question to this is just when did SP return from Guadalahara, Mexico. He supposedly checked out of Guadalahara Hilton on Wednesday 2/5/03 a.m., but was then not able to be located. It was reported that MPD was expecting SP back in the country Sunday 2/9/03. So where was SP from that Wednesday til last Sunday. Any stolen vehicles in the area? Has SP damaged his new truck and seeking insurance money for the damage. Sounds like the way SP thinks?
And why did SP remove all and anything of importance from his warehouse? Wonder if it was things that would incriminate him?
First someone broke into Scott Peterson's house
According to Ron Grantski last night on Greta, this turned out not to be true, there was no buglary at the Peterson's home on Jan 19th.

He'll be in France by the time they try to arrest him no doubt.and surrender in a matter of days after that?
it just might work....perhaps merely being on French soil will finally get him to say, "I give up!...take me away"

Ron said the burglary across the street and the muddy leash tended to point away from Scott...nothing about the burglary not happening at his house.
Peterson reported the burglary at his house on Jan. 19 after returning from Los Angeles. He had worked there that weekend to expand the search for his wife to Southern California.
Police said a window had been broken to gain entry. They declined to say what was taken.
Three days later, police reported that they had identified a suspect -- whom they described as someone known by the Petersons. Police said the stolen property was returned.
The suspect's name has not been released and no arrest has been made. "We will forward it to the district attorney's office and see if they want to file a criminal complaint," Detective Doug Ridenour said last week.
Are you sure you heard that correctly or did Ron say something I missed that differs from what Detective Ridenour is saying?

Perhaps I've read too many suspense novels or watched too much tv, and I'm prepared to be flamed for this...but could it be possible that Laci was in fact kidnapped (for the baby), that the kidnappers have been in touch with SP (for $)and have threatened to kill Laci if he talks to anyone. This might explain his weird behavior (insisting she is alive and continuing the searches, trying to sell stuff to get the money, being evasive with the police, family and media)in order to get Laci back alive?

I KNOW FresnoDA. He would love to come back, but management won't speak with him.
I think he's been time-outed for long enough, JMHO.
