EAGLES UP! Middle Eastern Man tells US Army soldier on leave: "You aren't welcome here!" [HOAX]

Happening in Houston

Reported on KSEV, Houston, The Voice, Jon Matthews show...

A soldier on leave from the US Army stopped off in a Conoco station to fill his vehicle and is told by the Middle Eastern man running the place to leave because he is a murderer.

Houston FReepers, if you have the information about the address of the station and the number to Conoco, please spread around. Houstonians are already calling into Conoco demanding the oil company take the franchise away from the man who did this to our military.

If you live in Houston, please fill this thread with more information. I am doing my usual stuff in getting my daughter ready for school and am unable to sit and listen for more pertinent details.

Make that Middle Eastern man feel the wrath!

EAGLES UP!

He SHOULD be nervous. I want him to be nervous. They bit off more than they could chew with September 11. And its about time we start saying "You're either WITH us or AGAINST us."

Let's see, wasn't the last prominent guy who said this Jorge "Bubba-2" Bush,a fellow Texan? Hasn't he also said "Islam is a religion of peace" since then? Does this mean he is at war with himself?

Folks, I heard the short end of the son, all of the father, and all of the caller who went to the store.

If what was supposed to have happened happened, it's appalling, and will be dealt with both by Conoco and the public.

But as the father told it, the son came home and told them. The mom was the one who called Jon Matthews. The dad had gone down to the store, and as he put it "was ready to yank somebody over the counter" and explain to them the error of their ways.

The store people have denied it: to the dad in person, to the caller on the phone. When the caller was there, there were two women crewing the store. They said they were the only people working there at the time the son reported being there.

I'm not calling anybody a liar (yet), but it's clear somebody isn't telling the truth. And before I (as a volunteer US Army vet) will go tell the store owners where to get off, I'd like to hear a bit more about the story.

I'm certain this young man, just like myself, never told his mom or dad an untruth or embellished a story.

Look, I dont see this young man as anything but brave for going off and putting his life on the line for me.

He hasn't gone anywhere, and he hasn't put his life on the line for anybody. He just got out of basic training. He might even get stationed in Texas, and never leave the state the whole time he is in the army. Even if he does leave Texas, chances are he will never hear a shot fired in anger. Probably 90% of the people in the military cab retire after 30 years of service, and never have been in combat or even close to it. It all depends on what his MOS is,and the luck of the draw.

I guess you've never heard of any service folks dying in training accidents? Any person wearing the uniform has my respect, whether they've seen combat or not.

It's just like I said, the army frowns on this publicity,

Not in a case like this,they don't.

the story can't be documented as you like in the media unless the soldier sacrifices his career.

He has no career. He's a private, straight out of basic training. Besides that,if his CO were to try to punish him for this,I personally know a couple of Army JAG's who would be more than happy to straighten this out for him. Providing he is legimitate, that is.

Some of these people should read "The Ox Bow Incident"...a literary classic about the lynching of an innocent man by an angry mob who didn't bother to get the facts before hanging the wrong man.

Why? That would spoil their fun,and they wouldn't be able to play their "I'm a bigger patriot than YOU are!" game.

I did a mapquest search and cannot find Rayford in Houston.

Try using "Spring" for your town.

Sorry...I was only a teenager in the 80s...and hardly well versed in the politics of the era.

I was a teenager at the time, and I paid attention to that event.

I was more interested in Men At Work, theatre, and Star Wars than national events...although I loved Reagan as my president. I knew enough to understand what he meant for America in regards to the 70s. I remember enough. But that quote is new to me.

It should not be.

But the fact that it is says volumes about you.

and in that light, I find what he said to be rather asinine in regards to this situation.

Yup, let's get double-timing on that rush to judgement. Screw verifying the facts; just ASSUME it happened as described.

I've had friends file Chapter 11 because of people acting as you are.

The clerk was representing Conoco. His hatred of a young man wearing our nations military PTs COULD have been kept in check.

If, in fact, the event occurred as described.

But he had to open his stupid mouth.

If, in fact, he actually did.

Whatever reputation he has now, he deserves it.

You haven't even lived up to the hoary old line "Give that guilty man a fair trial and hang him in the morning."

You just want to hang him and ignore the nagging little details of actually checking the facts--must be too much like work.

He got his sh*thead into that, not the Army private.

If, in fact, this actually happened as described.

The private made an attempt to do the right thing, and the clerk abused him for it.

If, in fact, this actually happened as described.

The clerk deserves to be fired.

If, in fact, this actually happened as described.

All of us have worked on jobs and done things that got us fired, and for the most part the firing was deserved.

Speak for yourself--I've never been fired, I've always left on my own for better horizons.

You guys are all so twisted, I can't believe this. I expected better.

Actually, I expected better of a Freeper than to have him demand all manner of retaliation for an event that may not have actually happened as described.

I thought there were military people here who would understand.

I spent eight years in the military defending the Constitution, and the principles on which the Constitution was founded.

You have not upheld those principles here. You have instead upheld the principles of mob rule.

I thought there were military people who deserve to know that they are supported on ALL levels, especially when a puke in a gas station tells a soldier that he is a murderer.

Assuming that this actually happened as it has been described--and that's a BIG assumption--I've been called far worse during my service and afterward. I didn't need to run for the crying towel.

As if September 11, 2001 never happened.

Oh, so you're PO'd that we don't just shut up and engage in the Two Minutes' Hate, huh?

Any person wearing the uniform has my respect, whether they've seen combat or not.

Are you sure about that? A guy in my hometown's dad was a police officer, as well as a Marine Vietnam combat veteran. One night he was investigating an incident (I'm not clear on all the details, this happened about 20 years ago) involving a prostitute, a drug deal, and two active-duty Marines. My friend's dad was found in the New River, drowned, handcuffed with his own handcuffs. The two Marines were convicted of murder.

John, try this. Illegal fundie Muslim aliens coming across Bubba-2's unguarded borders, and travel all around the country with no record of them ever having been anywhere, thanks to unrecorded stays at motels and hotels owned by fellow Muslims. Can you say,"Safe House"?

Yeah,I have. Again, this only happens to a tiny minority because only that tiny minority have dangerous jobs. I have yet to hear of any clerks dying from paper cuts.

You feel that anyone who has ever agreed with Bush on one thing, agrees with him on everything (hence the Bushbot references). What's the difference?

It's the same thing all over the country. People from India and Pakistan are buying up all the hotels and motels, too. I want somebody to explain to me some time how people who are so poor they have to eat dirt at home can come to this country and manage to get hundreds of thousands of dollars to buy a Holiday Inn or other chain motel, all before they even learn to speak passable English.

Simple: they put all of their efforts and money into their business, just like the 19th-century immigrants did.

After 9/11, I had to drive cross-country. I stayed at a Vagabond Inn owned by an Indian immigrant. The night before, I'd stayed at an American-owned Day's Inn that was one of the nastiest places I'd ever spent the night in. This place had a floor clean enough to eat off of, freshly laundered sheets on the bed, and a bathroom that could've been used for major surgery. (There was not a speck of mold in the bathroom--and I looked hard, because I was so amazed with the cleanliness of the bathroom. I felt guilty taking a shower in there :o)

Why? It's not gonna happen. Damn shame it won't though. He should be impeached. Maybe then we could get a actual president who wants what is best for America, and who is willing to guard our borders.
