Happening in Houston
Reported on KSEV, Houston, The Voice, Jon Matthews show...
A soldier on leave from the US Army stopped off in a Conoco station to fill his vehicle and is told by the Middle Eastern man running the place to leave because he is a murderer.
Houston FReepers, if you have the information about the address of the station and the number to Conoco, please spread around. Houstonians are already calling into Conoco demanding the oil company take the franchise away from the man who did this to our military.
If you live in Houston, please fill this thread with more information. I am doing my usual stuff in getting my daughter ready for school and am unable to sit and listen for more pertinent details.
Make that Middle Eastern man feel the wrath!

when he went in to pay, the male behind the counter asked if he was in the military, Sean replied "yes", the man behind the counter told Sean to leave, Sean said I haven't paid fom my gas, the man replied, "I don't want your money".OK, so what you're stating is that this gas station owner gave the guy free gasoline.
So what in the HELL are you people complaining about?

I agree with you...the issue is not about illegality. I already know that a large majority of the MEs who are here hate our guts. They have that 'right.' But by God, they better be prepared for the response they will get if they start taking their hatred out on our military. Somehow, people are still under the 60s mentality that its okay to have the diarrhea of the mouth, but no one should do a thing to put the whammy on the diarrhea. Just because you spew it, hun, doesn;t mean I HAVE to swallow it. Don't be surprised if I wipe it up with you (figuratively speaking, of course)

Wow. Talk about inciting a trailer trash lynch mob, this would do it.
To: Chancellor Palpatine
Assuming it actually happened as described.
Of course, just telling the trailer trash lynch mob it happened is good enough to get it going.
Besides, the guy at the counter actually GAVE the soldier FREE gasoline.

As far as I am concerned, Hank, the young man was still serving our country by notifying us civilians, who are blissfully unaware or unwilling to verify, that there was an enemy in our midst. The danger is among us.

I suspect that the Islamist business men here in the USA are seeing that their PAST behavior of supporting terrorists will land their asses in jail.
I suspect that yesterday's round up of Islamist in Dallas and in Michigan was getting a BIT close to home. Maybe this Islamist is "paranoid"...I suspect "paranoid" Islamists fearing a round up here in Houston, would be VERY afraid of a military person in their store.
THIS country doesn't need "paranoid" Islamists..."paranoid" Islamists are dangerous, first by words, then by small actions that finally build up to actions, similar to the attacks on NY and DC.

Was that announced on the radio, or are you the gas station owner? 'Cause if you are the gas station owner, and you haven't called the radio station, you probably should. What a great idea, and much more positive than ruining someone's life because they're wrong. You will generate a lot of goodwill that way.

Probably a "militiaman". You know, a camo wearin', baccy spittin', 8 toothed wonder who couldn't get into the real Army, Army Reserve or National Guard because of that problem with a felony and continued heavy pot smoking.
But he likes to shoot cans in his backyard when he is drunk, and considers himself an expert on all things military and governmental.

I believe that there is a silver lining in every cloud!
Hey I haven't been saying this enough to people here on the threads....Merry Christmas to you and your family and I wish the best for you and yours in the coming New Year!

The story, as it developed...apparently this is a local kid in the Army.
If this is how the Army socializes its soldiers to behave when confronted by someone verbally confronting them, thank God Almighty that we have the United States Marine Corps.

Caliban, perhaps, or we can see it this way...as long as they are silent and have nullified the population to the extent that the rest of us are not paying attention, they can get away with far worse damage than a population that is aware and preparing for anything they do. And a nervous criminal makes far more mistakes than one who knows nothing will come of his actions.
He SHOULD be nervous. I want him to be nervous. They bit off more than they could chew with September 11. And its about time we start saying "You're either WITH us or AGAINST us."
God help you if you are against us.

I have no doubt this soldier will be spoken to by his C.O., and if the tapes can be obtained and contain audio (and the audio might not even be necessary), then this would be much better than just some guy calling a radio show.
I also have no doubt Conoco will obtain those tapes if the employees don't turn them over to show their side of the story...if nothing "accidental" happens to the tape, mind you, or if they "forgot" to put the video tape into the machine.
All I've been saying all along is to wait for more proof than accusations made by a phone call made to a radio station, and I get shellaqued up one side and down the other. Go figure.

Maybe the guy was saying the gas was on the house and his English wasn't good enough to convey what he meant. The jury is still out on this one in my opinion.
To: Red Jones
I can see where you got your name Oh, please....Both me and my state have been beaten like a redheaded stepchild by much more creative insults than this. Yours doesn't even come close.

Someone once said that there has to be a large standing Army full of fancy equipment, officious officers rushing around, parades before doddering old generals, and not much accomplishment. Thats for public consumption. Underneath it all is an elite corps of tacticians and fighting men, ready to sneak in, cut throats, and who love their job of killing men and breaking things. You can find them, if you look hard enough, in all branches.
To: Chancellor Palpatine
Had this happened during WWII the man would have been hung and his gas station burned to the ground. Thank the Lord we are now more civilized than that.

There's a saying that have seen posted "we reserve the right to refuse service to anyone.."
That will not cover this situation.
What the arab did is illegal.

Look, I dont see this young man as anything but brave for going off and putting his life on the line for me. I have no idea of the way things are supposed to be in the Army. As a civilian, I find this implied bigotry between members fo the military branch to be rather idiotic, especially when y'all are all aftger the same thing: to break things the enemy has and make THEM die for their country. Seems to me that there would be a fair amount of support for among you people. That ME man specified US ARMY are murderers. Reading your posts makes me wonder if you just want to reduce it to mere technicalities and legalities. Why are you wasting your time on this board then, when you could actually get someone to listen you in the orc-chambers of a court-room. Y'all sound like a bunch of ...LAWYERS!
