Election 2002: FBI looks into misleading voter calls
Thursday, October 31, 2002 Associated Press
ORLANDO - An FBI agent has interviewed Florida Democratic chairman Bob Poe about a phone call he received urging him to cast his absentee ballot days after the Nov. 5 election. Poe said Wednesday that an agent from the FBI's Orlando office interviewed him by phone for about 15 minutes on Tuesday about the call he received late last week from a man purporting to be with Democratic gubernatorial candidate Bill McBride's campaign. Unaware of Poe's position, the man asked the state Democratic chairman to cast his absentee ballot Nov. 10 - five days after Election Day, Poe said. FBI spokesman Sara Oates in Tampa said Wednesday she couldn't confirm that an investigation into the call has been initiated. The FBI generally does not discuss ongoing investigations. Poe said Wednesday that he was under the impression that there was an investigation. "The Justice Department, through the FBI, is looking into it," Poe said. "My understanding is that they're cooperating with ... other law enforcement agencies to get to the bottom of this." U.S. Rep. John Conyers of Michigan, the ranking Democratic member of the Judiciary Committee, wrote U.S. Attorney General John Ashcroft on Tuesday asking for an investigation. Poe had written Ashcroft over the weekend also asking him to investigate. Both the Republican Party of Florida and the campaign of Republican Gov. Jeb Bush have denied involvement and support an investigation.

Oh, THAT'S about as subtle as the Wellstone Memorial Service/Mondale pre-Campaign Rally. The Dem. leadership had better be careful. Over 2/3rds of those polled in Broward County blamed the primary election voting problems on the local (Dem.) election personnel and the Dem. voters - not Jeb Bush.
Our Florida Dems. are family values Dems. who voted for GHW Bush over Clinton in '92, Jeb over McKay in '98 and a Republican majority legislature. Over 20 of the smallest Fla. counties are majority Dem. counties w/ Dem. election personnel who voted for GW - both the first time and after the state mandated (every Fla. county) recount (where only a few votes were added or subtracted).
Most Democrats in Fla. don't come from NY and live in West Palm Beach. The national press and Dem. party still don't understand this....thus the whole post-2000 "election theft" temper tantrum.

Just a heads up to you Florida voters. I heard Joe Lockahrt, former Clinton shill, say "this is going to be a very interesting weekend in Florida" on a CNBC program last night.
This strikes me as foreshadowing of some really dirty Democrat trickery planned for this weekend. Maybe a couple more boats from Haiti.

I believe the FBI agent received the call. Seeing probable election fraud he investigated by calling Poe to ask a few questions. That would be hilarious, but wouldn't that be like asking the fox about the missing chickens? It would also require FBI-Poe-AP collusion-fraud re. this story.

Thanks for the info, TbV. I just heard on the CBS radio news break that we have a few confirmed cases of ballot stuffing in Fla....no mention of the party. Surprise.
People risk their lives to vote in foreign lands and the DNC makes a mockery of our elections.
Should we poll the troops: "How many of you think that the election is a game?"
The courageous are disenfranchised while the cowardly bullies vote twice. Not this year.

I believe the FBI agent received the call. Seeing probable election fraud he investigated by calling Poe to ask a few questions. The article is written badly. It's hard to tell who "he" is, but the sentence below states it was Poe who received the call.
Unaware of Poe's position, the man asked the state Democratic chairman to cast his absentee ballot Nov. 10 - five days after Election Day, Poe said.

Heck, he probably hired somebody to call him in the hopes that they could make it seem like the Republicans were doing what the 'RATS are so good at...

"The Dem. leadership had better be careful. Over 2/3rds of those polled in Broward County blamed the primary election voting problems on the local (Dem.) election personnel and the Dem. voters - not Jeb Bush"That's really something, coming from one of the counties made famous by the hanging/pregnant/dimpled/whatever chad...but then, maybe becoming the butts of international jokes taught the residents a lesson...
"Most Democrats in Fla. don't come from NY and live in West Palm Beach. The national press and Dem. party still don't understand this....thus the whole post-2000 'election theft' temper tantrum."
Actually, that isn't surprising...most Americans realized that the re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-count fiasco was nothing but left-wing propaganda, bloated large by media hype.
Unfortunately, this and other stuff going on with the DNC controllers of the Florida Democratic party look like the buildup to ANOTHER 'election theft temper tantrum'.

If it was going to be a Democrat in trouble you can bet that Conyers wouldn't be pushing for an investigation.

You know what?
I am hearing more outraged citizens on local talk radio than I have ever heard before.
I mean, they are going nuclear over local taxes, the failing, ever-more-expensive schools, the arrogant commissioners who run the local government... I have never heard the like of it.
I hope this is a national trend.

"FYI. Who called Mr. Poe and told him to vote after the election? (^:"
Not me.

Great commentary.
"This time, for a change, 'our' crowds refused to melt down at accusations of fraud, fascism, theft, chad-rape, bullyism, Katherine Harris being a Republican, and George Bush's brother being governor of the disputed state."
"When did our team learn to 'outgun' the other side instead of wafting away in a purple smog whenever the other side pointed the bony finger of indignation into our face?"
And finally...
"Who finally taught us that the minority protester is not necessarily always right, and that no race or religion is kissed by tongues of flame that automatically render its grievance holy and just?"
Heh heh heh heh...gotta love it. The 2000 election was INDEED the last straw, the catylist that FINALLY motivated the "silent majority" to finally ACT.
Maybe there IS a chance.

I wonder if the Dem Chair even received a call. What a good way this would be to distract FBI resources.
Not too cynical, am I?

Many coincidences are lining up and pointing to the Dems normal throw grandma into the snowbank, abolish social security system, phone calls from Pubbies, keep African-Americans from voting, and possibly the refugees from Haiti.Sounds like desperation time for the 'RATS.
Either that or I need to be fitted for a new Tin Foil Hat. LOL

There are rumors floating about that Wellstone's plane crash was no accident. That's all I have. There's a thread here about one of Wellstone's pilot wherein the pilot told his mother that morning "I love you mom, no matter what." This pilot KNEW Moussaui from a MN flight school. Further, Wellstone voted against a resolution against Iraq. Did Wellstone vote against the amendment because of the pilot or what's going on here? I think someone was either being blackmailed or on a suicide mission.
This is exactly why I face NOVEMBER 5TH with EYES WIDE OPEN. The DNC will do anything to win. Or, as Wellstone's son Mark said "WE WILL WIN, WE WILL WIN, WE WILL WIN, WE WILL WIN, WE WILL WIN, WE WILL WIN!" He could have said something like "I really miss my family" instead. Dem brat!
Julie, please email your Newsmax contact to look into this if they aren't already. Minnesota Flight School - thread here somewhere. Thanks in advance. FV

How sad, re. Wellstone. If you're right, it's just nuts. The press would never expose any story that isn't politically beneficial....unless one of their own rats 'em out. We can stop them by shining the light on their mischief, and
turning out to vote in droves...and, if necessary, we'll implement Plan B. (^;

Absolutely correct and the same McAuliffe that is nothing more than a puppet for the Clintons.
