Maryland Area Prayer Thread: Pray for Metro area Freepers and Families

It was suggested on another thread by some wonderful freepers who have familiies in the Maryland Metro area, that we start a prayer thread for our freeper families and friends.

I'll be seeing basil again on Saturday -- not there yet. We change planes in Houston, but have very quick turnaround. Take care.

Could you post my info on the DC locale page, please? (My post #99 where I suggest DC area FReepers might want to take a home-cooked meal to the PD.)

I think it would be a great thing for FReepers to do...:)

I know it's been kind of quiet this week, but family in Maryland is still staying in and nervous. I am still praying for the Metro community, all of you there, for all the families, for LE, and that those responsible will slip up and be caught soon.

Let this most evil be soon most soon shown by Your Light! Let this darkness be removed by Your Holy Light of Grace! We pray Dear Lord, that no one else falls under this evil and no harm comes to anyone! We pray thus, Dear Lord, that this person or persons are immediately apprehended and this rein of "terror" is stopped post haste! We pray Dear Lord, for the immediate safety of all of our friends and family and those we know not, as well as a Nation as a whole! That this demon(s) be identified NOW! Well, it's no longer quiet, and while he was out again tonight, thank you for sparing the life thus far of the man who was shot tonight. And Father, we continue to pray for the capture of this evil person, Lord. Amen.

Excellent point! It can be fasting from something you really like the most! Meaning giving up something you enjoy! Anything! Food, beverages, News, Internet, Races, candy, etc. and so on! Now I have to figure what to give up, and that will probably be the NASCAR race! No I am not in any way making fun of this, but that is what I do on Sundays.....and it is a grieving process (which is what fasting is all about) grieving and asking for Divine intervention! and being serious about doing such! Showing that you are sincerely grieving something and proving it by giving up something you love the most! Ashes and tearing on the clothing and pulling out your own hair....well, I am not so sure I would do all of that, but I would and will if it will stop this evil demon!

Amen! Dear Lord, when You say enough is enough, then the end is here! Lord, we pray for Your Devine Intervention and we know You will provide now that there are those that are praying in Your Most Holy Name!

God, I ask that You especially Bless this Person! Watch over them and take care of them always and lead them into the path of Your choosing! Such wonderful and caring souls are so greatly needed and wanted! With all of my heart, I ask in Your Most Holy Name, Dear Jesus!

Exactly!!! I know your not making light of this. You know what, for me, giving up food for a day wasn't to bad. What I was having problems with was giving up my coffee along with the food, I drink decafe but LOVE IT. The L-rd called me on it and it was the hardest fast I've ever been on. I thought, you know, Jesus went 40 days without food, I can't even go one day without coffee. That's why I believe G-d told me to give it up that day. It's not to hurt us, G-d in no way wants us to hurt ourselves during a fast. It's partly to see just how truly serious we are about what we are praying for. Everytime I started to get miserable, I hit my knees and prayed. That day I was on my knees ALOT. After the fast, it dawned on me, that's what G-d had wanted. Was for me to really be in prayer that day. The time I spend with my Father is always well spent and the answers to my prayers are on there way.

I just found out a little while ago, that the schools are to be closed tomorrow.

I'm praying an extra prayer for the families and little ones.
