How Red is the Progressive Caucus?
www.sierratimes.com ^ | 09. 11. 02 | Chuck Morse

Posted on 09/12/2002 2:12:48 PM PDT by Tailgunner Joe

The Congressmen of the Progressive Caucus maintain a fig leaf of deniability regarding their Socialist orientation. Rather than calling themselves socialists, with all that label implies, members of the caucus along with their affiliates, the Democratic Socialists of America and the Institute of Policy Studies, prefer to hide behind euphemisms like "progressive" or nonpartisan think tank. The fraud is furthered by the strange silence of both political parties and the mainstream media. The DSA is the American branch of the Socialist International, an organization that spearheads open socialist parties in countries with totalitarian traditions. The logo of both the DSA and the Socialist International is a communist fist clenched around a red rose. The Progressive Caucus logo is two giant hands holding the entire planet in its clutches, something that must be seen to be believed. When crafting legislation, the caucus looks to the DSA and the Stalinist Institute of Policy Studies for direction.

The Progressive Caucus wields an extraordinary influence over the entire Congress. They advocate big socialist government and a new world order. In their "Statement of Purpose" they call for the cutting of the Pentagon budget and for "progressive" taxes. They want big welfare and "social programs" stacked with leftist bureaucrats and paid for by working taxpayers. They view government, with its gun-backed power to tax, as a means to enforce the "common good" as they define it and as a source of profit to themselves and their constituents. Their un-American authoritarianism is self interested and morally bankrupt.

The Democratic Socialists of America have adopted the term "international social order" to describe their age-old goal of a one-world government. Their vision of a socialist world calls for the "equitable distribution of resources" by which they mean the plundering of the American middle-class and the transferring of their fruits to corrupt international socialist and communist friends. In Their megalomania, they seek to regulate such things as "gender and racial equality" and "non-oppressive relationships." These American Congressmen, elected to uphold the constitution, advocate this alien agenda and are implementing it gradually.

We would be wise to examine the careers and legislative initiatives of each of these 59 members of the Congressional Progressive Caucus if we care about a free and sovereign America. These men and women constitute, I contend, a grave threat to our way of life. Following is a list of the infamous 59 by State:

Rush called Mandela a communist yesterday and I think the same thing of this bunch! They just hide behind names, but their agenda is not pro-American!

Bernie Sanders is the only one to proudly wear the socialist label. He is the leader of the Progressive Caucus.

The Communists are just one movement in the Socialist underworld of compulsive ideological misfits and conspiring demagogues, on the Collectivist Left. They all have certain propensities in common, not the least of which is the technique of the "Big Lie." (See The Lies Of Socialism.)

Morse is to be commended for keeping this rogues gallery in the public eye. If we had to rely on the mainstream media--very quick indeed to report any unsavory connection for any Conservative politician--we would never even be aware that this cabal of would be revolutionaries exists.

The Progressive Caucus has always been cagey about its relationship with the DSA. The DSA web site provides a link to the caucus, but doesn't seem to flat out state that members of the caucus are ipso fact members of the DSA.

Can we document the ties in some way?

BTW, we are represented by the egregious Maurice Hinchey. He has travelled to Cuba, and returned praising Castro and the "wonderful" free health care, literacy, etc.

You are so right! The media is so lax on all of this that I would question their motives!

Sanders is the only pinko willing to admit he's a pinko. The
other 58 are closet commies without the guts to admit
they hate America and everything America stands for.
They call themselves "progressive" but the real progressives
are the Conservative Republicans, the leftist fellow traveling reds are a reactionary class, looking back
at the dark ages of Leninism as their golden age.

Wisconsin's only rep on this infamous list is of course Tammy Baldwin the first acknowledged lesbian elected congresswoman in my fair state. And one guess what district she represents?...the Madison one of course. But at least (on a sexist note) she's better looking than most of the other commie babes on the list.

The DSA even used to host the PC's web site (you can find it searching on Google, and then clicking on the "cache" button). That doesn't mean the PC is a socialist organization, but it's just one step away.
