Christian Designs Found in Tomb Stones of Eastern Han Dynasty
[2002-08-02] Studies show that as early as 86 A.D., or the third year under the reign of "Yuanhe" of Eastern Han, Dynasty Christianity entered into China, 550 years earlier than the world accepted time.
When studying a batch of stone carvings of Eastern Han Dynasty (25-220 A.D.) stored and exhibited in the Museum of Xuzhou Han Stone Carvings, Christian theology professor Wang Weifan was greatly surprised by some stone engravings demonstrating the Bible stories and designs of early Christian times.
Further studies showed that some of these engravings were made in 86 A.D., or the third year under the reign of "Yuanhe" of Eastern Han Dynasty, 550 years earlier than the world accepted time of Christianity's entrance into China.
The 74-year-old professor, who is also a standing member of the China Christian Council, showed reporter a pile of photos of Han stone carvings and bronze basins taken by him. He also compared the designs on them with that of the Bible, composed of fish, birds, and animals demonstrating how God created the earth.
Designs on these ancient stones displayed the artistic style of early Christian times found in Iraq and Middle East area while bearing the characteristics of China's Eastern Han times.
The stone carvings, being important funeral objects, are mainly found in four cities, and Xuzhou is one of them. It is reported that by now more than 20 intact Han tombs have been found, from which nearly 500 pieces of engraved stones were discovered.
It is globally accepted that Christianity was first carried into China by a Syrian missionary Alopen in 635 A.D. the ninth year under the reign of "Zhenguan" of the Tang Dynasty (618-907 A.D.).
Some experts once raised doubts that Christianity may have entered China in an early time as the Eastern Han, but lack evidence. Nevertheless, professor Wang's discovery serves to strongly back up the theory and the earlier works of his own. By PD Online Staff Member Li Heng [From: CL2000.com]
BTW, Kandahar is derived from Iskander (Alexander) and the Afghan national cap was worn by the Greeks when they entered the country. Sometimes fashions don't change for 2300 years. You can see portraits of Alexander wearing the cap.
Much of what we know about the Greek states in Central Asia is derived from caches of coins which depict the rulers. They were eventually isolated and destroyed by nomad armies but they did establish contacts with China and their influence via their art eventually even reached Japan.

Barry Fell would not put Jesus in the Western Hemisphere. He did put Christians in New Hampshire up to 300 AD or so.

Whow!!!
Theres lot's of info and heated passionate belief here!!!! (wry grin)
A warning first! I still learning how to use this wonderful discussion tool! My worry is that I might make people feel I'm jumping on them personally for something they've posted, I'm not. I'm just trying to add my ten cents for what it's worth!
However I must agree.
Gentile does not include or exclude the house of Israel.
And yes it could very well mean people who are strange or like my relitives say in Main, " people from away " .
Even I who am a relitive, am considered from away....... And I am.
However I must disagree about the Tribes of Israel being lost! They're not lost! They are you guys who are right now this very second talking about weather they can be found or not! I've noticed many people get caught up in New Testament, ( I did ) and many like I did, forgot to read the Old Testament. Try Ezekiel chapter 38. I'm curiouse what you all might say! I am part Indian, one who happens to know his heritage farther back than when the Spanish first came to town.........
I hope I don't sound stuck up here?
Thanks for reading!
By the by, while I don't agree with the double doctrine and the lies I do feel the Mormon church practises, I also must interject they are not without merit. I know lot's about the Mormon church, enough to know the Book of Mormon is true, and the Mormon Church False ( part of the church of the Devil, but so are the other churches) ( again I'm part Indian the BOM is a record of my people ), but I also know the Mormon Church is not practising and never did practise the teachings of the Second Book spoken of in Isaiah, Genesis, Ezekiel and written of even by King David himself in the bible.... There was another land, another people, and another record. Remember when the Lambs book of life is opened there are and I quote the very word "books plural" opened along with the Lambs Book of Life. People should not be so hasty to judge what they know not.
While Many Mormons do practice Hocus Pocus, many do not.
And while many use the BOM to justify their sin and abuse of God, people, particularly women, many do not!
Many know their scripture better than you or I
Sincerly

Assyrian Orthodox missionaries spread east along the Silk Road into China, left their monasteries and such largely in the middle of nowhere, then went extinct when Islam spread out the same way. Meanwhile, the Romans whatever their affiliation, kept gettin’ ‘er done via sea trade, and even overland trade well into Byzantine times.
