Hannity just stated on his radio show that he has just about had enough of the conservative cannibals on this board. To many threads end up being ledd about news and information and more about attacking fellow conservatives.
He said if he wants to get attacked he will go to a Liberal board.
I have a tendency to agree...
I'M not a conservative ; I'm a REACTIONARY who would like to see gov't reined in as before Lincoln thumbed his nose at the Constitution.
I graduated fom college with a BA major in history and a minor in government, and I am an administrator of two conservative Web sites one of them British which blows your assumptions to perdfition.
The nature of a democratic republic is that the majority generally gets what it wants.
Yopur end of the political spectrum is attractive to less than on half of one percent (<0.05%) of the American electorate.
That means you aren't going to see your preferred form of government unless you emigrate somewhere with a more authoritarian form of government.
The funny part is he, Sean Hannity, a conservative, attacked conservatives when he said it!
You accused him of trolling for hits to his article. That's the same as pimping his article.
Me, you accused of hypocrisy while you accused Levin of being "extremely disengenuous" and "(not) very honourable"
You just can't help being nasty. I rest my case.
I am a pragmatist. I assume that elected officials KNOW what their constituents think (after all, that is part of their job). My assumption is that most conservatives know how far they can push the electorate in their direction before risking losing office. It is basic strategery, if you will.
I realize some folks don't like this. They prefer a full-steam-ahead, disregard the costs approach. While that may be emotionally satisfying, and while it may be ideologically pure, it doesn't necessarily work. You will note that the Congressmen and Senators that Freepers admire the most come from pretty safe districts and states.
I don't fault people for holding a view counter to mine. However, I do feel compelled to point out to them that it won't necessarily be successful.
If you're going to vote for him again, you can say anything you want.
Once I see the "hyena pack" with the long knives out, I just leave the thread.
You guys are mostly talking to yourselves. The rest of us are sick of it.
What total nonsense. Sure, Buchanan only got that percentage of the vote, but a lot of that has to do with the current two party political system, the conditioning that has taken place over one hundred years, the scorning off the media that Buchanan was dealt in 1992, the "best of the two evils" crowd, the lack of coherent, intelligent discussion of policy issues in the media, etc.
It has very little to do with what people's true feelings are. In fact, I'm sure that more people, deep down, agree with Buchanan than Bush. It's just that the above factors, coupled with political correctness, have led the country in the wrong direction.
Jim never sees those.
If you want him to see your post, you have to ping "Jim Robinson". Thanks, AM
That's how it works, the sysop chooses the administrators.
By the way, there's only three of us at Free Britannia including MadIvan;that's just the right amount to keep riff raff from turning the site into a cluster {expletive deleted}.
You go, sink!
Hannity has said several times that Hillary would not give him an interview & he would love to take her on. Have you ever seen O'Reilly interview her? No, she won't give him an interview either.
It is my understanding that Hillary will not allow Sean to interview her. We all know she doesn't like being questioned by anybody who might disagree with her, let alone take her to task for her communist leanings.
I know what you're all saying, and there is some truth to it. Heaven knows I'd love to see her in an honest interview. My problem is, it's Hannity's show (everybody knows Colmes is immaterial -- if Hannity left, he'd be history in a heart beat), yet he lets HER pick her interviewer?
If she said, "Sure Bill, I'd love to do your show, just one teensy caveat: Katie Couric has to do the interview and you can't even be in the building." What do you suppose O'Reilly's response would be? A damn sight different that Hannity's is/was. Certainly I prefer Sean to the likes of Hillary, Bill, Jesse, D'asshole, Gore, McAuliffe, et. al., but there are too many things that scream "wuss" about that guy for my liking.
It's Fox News Channel's show. Hannity DOES have a boss, you know...
While you may have a point in regard to the some of the Left Coast, New England and much of the inner city liberal enclaves and ghettos, I don't think that it applies to most places.
I believe that Conservatives could be more brazen, more active, less scared, etc. If the media tries to paint them wrong, they should stand up and tell why the conservative point of view is the most logical, makes sense, why it is COnstitutional and helps protect America. On the other hand, they should state why the opposition's agenda is anti-Constitutional, why it is wrong, and why it will bring about the destruction of the country. If enough conservatives do this, or run for office, the country could easily be turned around. Of course, the left wing media plays into it. However, the message has to be drilled home, and if the media tries to cover up that message, word will get out among the general public that the media and left are engaged together, lying, and manipulating. Furthermore, people will have become educated, and the tide will start turning. ( I believe that it's already starting to).
I'd like to see conservatives working on those midwestern, western and southern districts whereby Democrat or RINOS hold office. Even parts of the northeast (New Hampshire, Maine, parts of New York, Pennsylvania, and Vermont) could be brought into the conservative camp if the effort were put out. (Only Massachusetts, Rhode Island and Connecticut do I see being total non-win states)
Lastly, I will say that the pandering factor, compromise if you will, has not gotten Conservatives and Republicans anywhere. The agenda is continually being moved to the left. There can't be any compromise with the left, for their side has everything to gain and ours everything to lose.
