Hannity Blasts FreeRepublic (maybe he is right)
Radio

Hannity just stated on his radio show that he has just about had enough of the conservative cannibals on this board. To many threads end up being ledd about news and information and more about attacking fellow conservatives.
He said if he wants to get attacked he will go to a Liberal board.
I have a tendency to agree...

A reference was made, in one poster's opinion, about how he/she perceives the historic of those on the extreme side of the political spectrum.
And here we go AGAIN.......geeeez! You're a looney tune! You must be a LIBERAL! No, I'm not! Yes, you ARE!!!!
THIS IS THE POINT OF THIS THREAD!!!!!
But just ask most folks and it is ALWAYS the OTHER PERSON who is doing it.

Gee, that's what I need to go back to the time of Collidge! Great time to be living, no internet, no air conditioning, no tv. Governing then was different of course and I have no desire to go back.

Yes, Sean has stated his position on microchip implants
in children unequivocally.
He is all for the voluntary implant of them by choosing parents.
What he doesn't seem to want to discuss is the logical conclusion to such a course of action. Just as with Social Security numbers, which were never intended to be a form of national identification, and just as with the Social Security system itself - that to this day is legally voluntary (and how many Americans know that?) - every child born in America will soon be assigned their microchip implant before leaving the birthing room.
Sean seems to have forgotten the words and the doctrine of Ben Franklin:
The man who will sacrifice a little liberty for a little safety deserves neither.
(I forget the exact quote; maybe another FReeper can help me out here.)

Oh, spare me from your biting wit. My sides hurt from laughing so hard.

Pimping is a very strong adjective, one much more hyperbolic than one I would use. Please refrain from putting words in my mouth, though you sure like to admonish those that don't adhere to Kristinn's Rules of Posting to DC Conservatives.
And you accuse others of being provocative.I state my opinion, and you cry foul.Gee,you trying to censor me?? Nice to know we have to pass our opinions by a sensitivity arbiter such as yourself.

These are the people who are making a pig's breakfast out of Free Republic with their hysterical anti-GOP rantings I'm anti-WOD, pro-flat tax, anti-illegal immigration, anti-CFR, and would like to see every single firearms law repealed. Unfortunately, the GOP establishment doesn't see it my way.

Evidently, you haven't paid enough attention to policies, trends, effects, results, history and the like. The road that the mainstream is traveling on is a destructive one for the Republic of the USA. The Democrats are two times as worse, but socialist-lite doesn't make the Republicans blameless.

WOW......that is a
LOT of HTML tags! (g)
I read that thread...and yes, if I recall correctly, Mark Levin got very snippy AT Miss Marple...and because she disagreed, he was off and running. I agree that this was NOT the norm for Mark.

Oh, spare me from your biting wit...What in the world did you mean by that?!
kristinn ... I really meant what I said ... I am going to read it all the way through ... Mark Levin is a man I have always respected ... before I even knew about FR ... he was a light in the darkness to me ...
Maybe you need to take a break ... and realize sometimes ... some people say EXACTTLY WHAT THEY MEAN ...
I am sorry for yelling ... you ticked me off ... it will fade ...

"Oh, spare me from your biting wit. My sides hurt from laughing so hard." And I suppose this is your example of civility?
To: A Citizen Reporter
Agreed. Like I said in an earlier post....it is ALWAYS the other person who is uncivil.

I haven't seen Sean bashed too much here, but if he has it's been partly by those attacking his correct stance against drug legalization. But, I hardly consider that conservatives cannibalizing other conservatives. Legalizing drugs is as liberal idea as it gets.
To: A Citizen Reporter
And I suppose this is your example of civility? Some people have granted themselves an exemption, but reserve the right to lecture on the topic. (They're called "hypocrites".)
To: MurryMom
Bush should be attacked because he has hardly governed as a conservative. Hannity has also gone after Bush, so he shouldn't complain about Freepers doing that. I'm don't think that was his point, though.
To: Ol' Sparky
Legalizing drugs is as liberal idea as it gets. Reducing the size of gov't is a liberal idea? Eliminating gov't intrusion is liberal?
To: kristinn
it's about ripping conservatives--especially those who have been friends of FR and stood with us in the breach not too long ago--to shreds. But when did this happen? When did this happen to Sean? And "shreds"?! Come on.
To: kristinn
illstillbe made a good faith comment to you. In return, you make an insulting comment.
And YOU are the person who has taken it upon himself to arbitrate what is correct behavior on the forum?
To: jbstrick
After reviewing the last 300 replies or so on this thread, I've come to the conclusion Sean is about right on this subject but I wish he would try to look beyond the loudness.
The real irony is that the FReepers whining the loudest that Sean is inaccurate are "some" of the very FReepers who are most adept at eating their own...policy-wise. Whoof...Whoof...they know who they are.
I'm old enough to recall when there were no Sean Hannitys on TV period. I'm grateful for him overall even though I don't agree with everything he says either. We should all be on the same team. Whoever said liberals are better at unity than we are was on the money.
To: Ragtime Cowgirl
Ragtime, while I do agree that the Republicans are better than the Democrats, I see too many weak Republicans. Where are the strong, passionate debates for principle, the Constitution, the rule of law, etc.? I don't see too many of them. In fact, the last of them I saw was back during the Clinton Impeachment hearings and, to a lesser extent, the Gore election robbery fiasco.
I want to hear conservatives come out strong against Abortion, the scope and size of the federal government, "Free Trade", Sex Education, our military being used for police exercises, illegal immigration, the current state of immigration, anti-Christian rhetoric, etc. I see mostly a bunch of weaklings afraid to "Shake the Boat" in fear that they won't be reelected and their income cut off.
