If a Christian AG will stop a Waco investigation, and imprision jews, what hope is there for a free America? There is only one religion permitted in America: the State.

The Israelis claimed last night they were deliberately kept with Arab and Moslem prisoners, who beat them badly, and that they were deprived of food and basic sleeping and toilet conditions.

Their imprisonment was extremely traumatic and has left physical and emotional scars, the JERUSALEM POST reported in Sunday editions.

The five Jews, who worked for a New Jersey moving company, said that they were arrested in a security sweep, after neighbors reported them to the authorities when they heard them speaking Hebrew and thought it was Arabic and that they were somehow tied to the terror attack.

It was reported they were picked up after they photographed themselves smiling against the backdrop of the burning Trade buildings.

The five have retained a lawyer in the United States to file a lawsuit for the treatment they received in jail.

"two esteemed Libertarian thinkers like Kopel and Blackman "

A, Yeh. Right! But then again, maybe they're part of the "Socialist Libertarian" movement. Peace and love, George.

its very bad news that National Review OnLine would carry such a piece.

If you take the time to look at the actual evidence regarding the Waco events, then there is no way to escape the conclusion that these people were murdered in a purposeful campaign orchestrated by our own government.

Regardless of the evidence many people go along with the government effort to treat this group of people as sub-human. It demonstrates very clearly how evil ordinary people can be. We are a people who so look down upon our own ancestors for past injustices, both real and imagined, but at the same time we commit the most terrible offenses ourselves and then simply lie to cover up over it.

OK, you guys need to take a step back...

Koresh was a looney, who abused men, women and children. He repeatedly broke the law (does the rule of law mean anything anymore?) and needed to be stopped.

As terrible as the Waco events where, I firmly believe that where the entire fault of Koresh and his adult followers. Further, while what happened was very unfortunate, something had to be done. It is just too bad that Koresh surrounded himself with a human shield of children.

I am all for free gun ownership, but through legal means. Your continued defense of this crazed, armed, meglomaniac pedophile undermines your positions (unless, of course, you are apologists for crazed, armed, meglomaniac pedophiles.)

I agree with you, Mike. These "facts" that other posters refer to are generally opinions and repeated lies. Does anyone know what hearsay is? As for the 911 call, how convenient it is to start shooting, then call the same authorities you tried to kill for help. No one used nursing mothers for target practice except in the poster's paranoid mind. Also, there has been real evidence presented to show that the Branch Davidians started the fire.

So far, I am unaware of any of the Branch Davidians, including Koresh, having broken any laws at all. I am also unaware of any so-called "gun law" which is not in direct conflict with the supreme law of the land. As far as I can see, from all reports, a bunch of innocent, American citizens were murdered in cold blood while exercising their Constitutional rights on their private property.

IMO, you have been misled. Koresh did not put bullets, tanks, incendiary devices, and flammable gas into a church full of women and children. The US government under Clinton and Reno did.

The charges of child abuse by Koresh have been thoroughly debunked. They were trumped up as a convenient rationale for actions against the Davidians as were allegations of a drug lab at the church. Both were calculated to increase public sentiment against the sect. Although both charges were retracted, this fact was not widely reported, and many people who relied on mainstream news still believe they were true. Same strategy used against Billy Dale in the WH travel office firings. Ultimately he was acquitted of any wrongdoing but by then the lie had accomplished its purpose.
