I've said before that I think he either had her done away with OR that she died during a necktie scene.... either accidentally or deliberately. If accidentally, what's he going to do? Reporter's get the story and he's DONE FOR.

It is one of only two possibilities in my opinion. Either his kinky sexual escapades led to her death, or he killed her in a rage because she threatened to expose the real Gary Condit whom he had so successfully hidden from the public for all these years.
There are stories that he has a violent temper, so I lean more toward the latter.
