A Fremont resident who fought with armed home invaders on Friday grabbed a suspect’s firearm and used it to fatally shoot the burglar, according to police.
Officers responded to the shooting around 12:12 p.m. at an apartment on San Pedro Drive. Fremont Police Department investigators said two teenagers forced their way into the home and assaulted two residents.
“During a struggle, one occupant gained control of the suspect’s firearm and fired it towards them, fatally wounding one of the suspects,” Fremont PD wrote. The suspect who was shot succumbed to his injuries at a local trauma center.

However, the trial judge found that Mr. Munroe was no longer acting in self-defence when he shot at the intruders from the porch,” the three-judge panel said in its decision.
Yogi????
El Cerrito is nice with a wonderful Christmas street during the holidays. Punks from Richmond spread out and thankfully, get killed sometimes.
"If violent crime is to be curbed, it is only the intended victim who can do it. The felon does not fear the police, and he fears neither judge nor jury. Therefore what he must be taught to fear is his victim."-- LtCol Jeff Cooper, USMC (Ret)
Amen to that, Paal.
