Good Riddance to Marjorie Taylor Greene’s Swamp Creature 'Populism'
The American Thinker ^ | January 2nd, 2026 | Dr. Joseph Ford Cotto

Posted on 01/02/2026 2:48:59 PM PST by River Hawk

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) did not leave Washington as a martyr to principle.

She left as a case study in how rank opportunism masquerades as populism, and how loudly proclaimed integrity can coexist with some of the most cynical behavior the D.C. swamp has on offer.

Greene entered Congress in January 2021, branding herself as a sworn enemy of the political class, promising to drain the swamp and to stand shoulder to shoulder with working Americans.

Five years later, she timed her exit to meet the minimum service threshold for securing a taxpayer-funded congressional pension.

That benefit was locked in by dating her resignation to Jan. 5, 2026, three days after completing exactly five years in office. Under federal retirement rules, that service guarantees her a deferred annuity beginning at age 62, estimated at roughly $8,700 annually.

It was a beneficial exit, not a sacrificial one.

I bet she did it for the health benefits, not the pension.

Let’s go one step further and say it:

“Good Riddance to Margie!”

What a ridiculous spin.

MTG is just the opposite of swamp creature.

She's an extreme populist that strayed to the left on some issues but she certainly is and always has been the enemy of the corrupt uniparty, Deep State and the Republican establishment.

These attacks are designed to push the party back to Bush Republicanism, which is the ultimately example swamp policies.

Extreme disappointment

Apparently, she wasn’t vetted properly enough.

She fooled a lot of us.

Pro MAGA =/= Pro Trump. Lots of people are loyal to a man, not the movement. OGs like MTG left wondering why they suffered for their support.

These attacks are designed to push the party back to Bush Republicanism, which is the ultimate example of swamp policies.

Truth worth repeating. I suspect they're also working hard to split the MAGA movement by giving people like Carlson, Owens and Fuentes favorable press and outlets wherever possible.

Dick Cheney's dead but his ghost lives on.

According to Microsoft Bing...

"Marjorie Taylor Greene's net worth is estimated to be around $20 million as of 2025. This wealth primarily comes from her majority stake in her family's construction company, Taylor Commercial..."

The author of this polemic is "Doctor" Cotta, who has a Phd in Business Administration but no practical business experience. He spends most of his time writing and making videos.

The Noble Dr. Joseph Ford Cotto would, of course, pass that opportunity up. 🤡🤡🤡🤡
